If the worst call ever isn't made...

...then I'd have given us about a 75-80% chance of being in the Kickoff game. Since I don't think they'd go with one of Seattle's divisional rivals (too many question marks with the Cardinals/49ers, and the Rams aren't yet ready for this kind of stage), the Steelers likely would've been our top challenger... but I honestly believe they'd find more intrigue in us playing the Seahawks and give us the nod for the season-opening game. I know none of this matters now, but it's quite interesting to think about. I'd love to know if they would have indeed done this, but oh well.

Also... I wish it had happened because not only would I love to be in the Kickoff game, but we're beating them in Seattle next season. It's happening. Mark it down.

is it really necessary to bold and increase the font on all your posts?

It would have been way more glorious if the panthers beat the pants of the seahawks in the playoffs. I would not of even cared much if we get destroyed by the packers in the next game. Beating the seahawks emphatically this year would have sent a huge message that carolina panthers are not some backwater team that everyone other than panther fans can diss and ignore on a regular basis.

Now where we are, I'm not exactly sure. We had a worse season than last year, but slightly better playoff results. Cam had some bad injuries at multiple points in the year , so its hard to evaluate his errant high passes and picks thrown.

One thing I can say is that recent few drafts have really turned out well for the panthers. Luke is a centerpiece for our defense and Kelvin can become one for our offense easily if he can get those dropsies woes solved somehow he would be a monster. Also the offensive line looks hell of a lot better than the revolving door "line" of mid season. And the cornerbacks of Norman and Bene have shown extreme potential.

One huge factor is if Cam can get his passes down and make them more catchable. If Kelvin can make vast majority of his catches, if Stewart stays healthy, we get one or two great offensive lineman, get one more great dlineman, we could do nice things in 2015-2016 NFL Season.

Not saying were guaranteed to go to Super Bowl 50 but if we get all the right pieces in line by the first game of the season, I'm expecting first round bye and get back to back wins in the Playoffs. I would be extraordinarily happy if we make it to the Championship Game.

    • Just going off the draft sims and he's always sitting around 20 lol. First year in a while where we haven't been thinking about the draft already in late October so haven't really looked into the top 15-20 picks yet. Also the qb class is super weak so he probably will sneak up into 10-15
    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
