The Panthers MUST spend money in the next 2 years

The Panthers are 2nd in the league in NOT spending money (second only to the Raiders) over the last 2 years. Others have mentioned that we must spend 90% of the cap but the deadline is looming....2016.

Of course we have some big contracts looming so that helps. But the implication of the following article is that we need to spend and spend enough in the next 2 off seasons to get is up to almost 90% of the cap. So perhaps we may be compelled to shop at Macy's as opposed to Target or Tiffany's.

Can't remember the thread title, but this was discussed last week after David Newton had an article about it. 

 

A lot of old contracts/dead money meant we couldn't spend money. As the OP says, that'll change next year with Cam, then Luke, TD, Olsen possibly as well, and a potentially loaded 2016 FA class.

Cam and Luke will take up $30 mil a year max, and that still leaves $30 mil to spend elswhere, which is much more than weve ever had to work with when HurnDog was upstairs.

My guess is Cam $22, Luke $18 but we will have to wait and see brah.

0.0% chance Luke gets 18 IMO. 12-13, yes. 

 

 

 

Cam on the other hand? I think he ends up getting around 22-23.

I think Cam gets 20, a lot of it gaurenteed. Or less

I could also see luke giving the team a friendly deal. If he doesnt, i wouldnt judge him in the least though
