T.j Clemmings still:

25T.J. ClemmingsCOLLEGE: PittsburghClass: SrHT: 6-4WT: 309POS: OT

Analysis: The Panthers count both left tackle and right tackle among their positions of need, and Clemmings could step in and fill the hole on the right side. He's very raw, having only played offensive line the past two seasons, but he is a huge, powerful run-blocker who has enough mobility to develop into a good starter at right tackle in the NFL.

Moses wasn't mocked all that much to us last year. Prob in the 2nd.

Many mocked KB and Lee to us.

Difference is Clemmings is actually better than Moses. Was never a fan of Moses in the 1st last year. He was clearly a 2nd-3rd.

Clemmings is 1st round talent. I know he didn't do so good at the Senior Bowl but go back to the tape and he is a good player. I'd take him at 25 if he's BPA.

I'm not sure how Mayock is having him as his no1 OT.

My top:

(1) Flowers

(2) Scherff

(3) Peat

(4) Collins

(5) Clemmings

(6) Humphries

Really? Because every mock that I looked at had us at Moses or Cyrus K(No Idea).

Isn't Collins more of a Guard prospect or at best right Tackle?

I'm definitely not a prospect expert, but from the film I've seen of Collins, he's a solid RT at worst. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he has the same arm length as Jordan Gross. And he just displayed some good athleticism at the combine. I honestly don't think he makes it to us at 25, but if he does, I think Gettleman will take a good, hard look at him.

And for bonus points, Trai Turner has said that he and Collins fed off each other a lot at LSU, and we all know how important chemistry is for the O-Line.

    • Frankly I'm surprised he's still a color guy on the preseason broadcasts. It was like nothing happened. Kinda like December 2002.
    • CJ Allen is being mad undersold here. He’s very much a lock for the 1st and the next LB behind Styles/Reese. Totally in play with the available OL, McNeil-Warren and some others at 19. If you look at our holes and who creates the most, surest, immediate impact it’s Allen and M-W for me. His game is complete, balanced skillset, top defender, leader, all pluses.  Hill Jr has the upside but isn’t in his tier. He is more Rodriguez/Lawson/Louis/Golday/Trotter in the offball group. That whole tier will be hard to predict order wise bc it’s in the eye of the beholder/what teams think fits best. All have great skills but aren’t on Allen’s level. No order but Thieneman, CJ Allen, Freeling, Fano, McNeil-Warren, Mesidor, and sure Saddiq will all be in consideration.  It will come down to who really gives us the biggest impact and long term fit. It’s a fun group to think on.
