Colin Cole Re-Signed

Not sure that's a draft board (would be awful early in the process for that).

I can't really see it well enough to say what it is or isn't, though.

With the video systems NFL teams have, it's not hard to take that pic and use enhanced zoom to read it. Just don't want us tipping our hand.

Still free agency, several pro days and other stuff yet to some before April 30th.

I honestly don't think we have a 'hand' to tip just yet.

Hope that's the case. Just seeing something resembling a draft board before the draft with the technology out there makes me nervous. Just take a Gatorade towel and a couple push pins and cover it up is all I'm asking.

I think Dwan is the most underrated member on the d-line, and is a pretty solid pass rusher from the DT position (13 sacks in 41 games in limited snaps).  He's been putting in work since 2012 - before Star, KK, Colin, etc... and was a huge reason why Hardy and CJ were suddenly able to take off the way they did.  He was just sort of lost in all the crap that was our DT rotation that year (Fua, Neblett, etc).

I'd love to see him back if he's got another year in the tank.

Holy sh(t this is weird as fug. I had a dream last night that I checked the huddle and saw we re-signed Colin Cole to a 1 year deal. Then checked later and saw that Ginn and Oher were both signed as well. I literally thought that had happened and was in such good spirits this morning then I check and see nothing. Well now Cole is signed, I'm sure Ginn and Oher will come later today...

I hope u are wrong about Oher.  I'd rather have Bell.

    • Ravens mixing it up with a random Mark Andrew tush push last year isn't a similar situation.  Lamar has run QB sneaks his entire career.  And often instead of a traditional sneak will even employ a 4th and 1 direct snap to Lamar simply because of how athletic he is (which even Cam did a lot of) and let him pick his own holes.
    • height being an issue doesn't just mean batted balls.  You could argue Bryce minimizes batted balls by adopting other poor habits such as his jump passing and leaving the pocket.   As I said, there are plays you can point to where he clearly was blind to parts of the field/players....which kills plays and opportunity. Which actually means some of the shorter/hot throws when things break down are where his vision gets blocked (and he had below average production all around the line of scrimmage).   has he figured it out? I mean, he improved off a trainwreck start.  But Bryce Young since arriving in the league (even while figuring it out)......doesn't generate much offensive production vs his peers.  I just think his ceiling is low.   And that's not in the grand scheme what you want in the NFL.  I think he can develop into a serviceable QB, that will largely always been a middle of the pack or low end starter.
    • People make a lot of noise about his footwork and I think it is overblown. Whether he takes 3 steps backwards or 5 small steps doesn't matter as long as he ends up at the right depth and is in sync with  the receiver regarding timing. If he does that consistently who cares as long as he has a firm stable base as he delivers the ball. Which he does need to work on. However even that is somewhat overblown given that often QBs have to throw off balance or from different arm angles to fit the ball around defenders. He is considered very accurate so apparently it isn't hurting him that much.
