I don't know if Lance will turn the corner here and play like he did tonight on a consistent basis, however if he does it's all thanks to Coach Cliff.

I don't know if anyone saw the SI article on Lance but basically Coach Cliff said that it's not Lance's fault he is struggling and he hasn't been a locker room problem at all. Clifford pointed to the fact that expectations for Stephenson were too high and that due to this being the first time that he's played on a different team other than the Pacers that he's had a tough time finding where he fits.

It seems like Clifford has Lance's back and maybe that's all Lance needs to get going.

We all know that Mo is going to be relegated to the second unit when kemba comes back, whether that makes sense or not. Mo and Lance leading the second unit back court has very good potential and frankly would be better than Kemba and Lance.

Unless you are one of the ones that wants to tank, you've got to be happy that mo saved us from Roberts and has strung together this group of games that have kept the hornets in the playoff race.

I wish that this had happened a year ago and opened up a legit convo about just how good of a player Kemba is, but 12 mil a year later is too late. I know this board won't embrace the convo, but it should be discussed.

    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
