Throwing down the gauntlet, at #25 I want one of these three guys

Jaelen Strong, Jake Fisher, or Preston Smith

I don't care what people say about Strong and lack of separation or whatever.  When I see this guy play, I just see a football player that makes fuging plays.  Proehl can help him clean up his route running, but you can't teach his physicality and hands.  I really like Devante Parker too, but I'm working under the assumption that he won't be there at #25.

IMO, Fisher has the highest upside of any OT in the draft other than Ogbuehi.  I'd have Ogbuehi here if it wasn't for the ACL.  Fisher has elite movement skills for a big man and Oregon's OL absolutely fell apart in the games he missed.  He's the real deal.  Day one starter at LT.  I could warm up to Ereck Flowers, but I prefer Fisher.

I don't care that people say Smith isn't a 1st rounder.  He's the best all-around 4-3 DE in this draft.  He has the ability to play anywhere along the DL in a 4-3 and we all know how Gettleman loves that ability.  The guy is relentless.  I think Dave will love the guy.  No second name mentioned here.  If we go defense, this is the guy I want.

Gettleman came out and said that Oher is going to be our starter at LT.

thats why we arent drafting fisher to be our day one starter

if gettleman is sold and confident with Oher so am I

Honestly, what's he supposed to say?  That he signed the guy to ride the pine?

LT was a massive need.  If the season started tomorrow, Oher would be penciled in to start at LT.  The season doesn't start tomorrow.

I'm VERY glad we signed Oher and Martin.  Both have talent and were former high draft picks.  They give us options.

As sad as it sounds, I feel like marty hurley right now... To me, in terms of what's likely to be there and where they should actually go, I'm starting to feel like Gurley or Gordon would be the BPA. LOL... I feel dirty even saying it.

But, my #1 priority is WR. I'm just starting to feel like we'll be reaching if we take one there at this point with Strong sliding, and I feel like there is a lot of dark horse hype building up around Agholor. I feel like the same can be said for OT, which is #2 on my priority list. I don't feel like the guys that will be there will be worth the pick.

This would be your dream list at 25? Why not Parker, Peat and Gurley who are consensus better players?

I don't care about "consensus better players".  Every year there are busts and sleepers.  I mentioned Parker.  I said I don't think he'll be there.  When all is said and done, I think he's a top 15 pick.  I think Cooper, White, and Parker are all gone by the mid-teens.  Gurley's durability concerns terrify me.  We have a very talented RB who can't stay on the field already on the roster.  In Peat, I just don't see anything elite.  I think he's pro ready and I think he can play right now, but I don't think he'll ever be anything more than just average.  IMO, he's just athletically limited.

Again, those three guys are just my guys.  Has nothing to do with analyst opinion, mock drafts, whatever.  Simply guys who I've watched play and I'm saying, "I want THOSE guys."

If you care to check it out, I ran through my opinions of most of the top OT prospects in the draft here:

I mean I know he was, but even with the heart condition (that ended up not being an issue) we didn't think he could project to 14 that year. He had to get past two jets picks and we knew they were looking for a DT, and that was just one team.

What about Benjamin, Short, and Ealy?

There was a lot of division on KB.  Hell, I was divided on him myself.  He was my original draft crush.  After the championship game, I wanted that guy bad.  I let analyst opinions and media hype sway me.  By the time the draft came along, I wanted Jordan Matthews.  And to be fair, Matthews had a very promising rookie season with Philly.

I vowed not to let analyst and media opinions sway me this year, hence those three guys.  To be honest, my original draft crush this year was Devin Smith.  We could really use a deep threat and IMO he's the best pure deep threat in the draft.  It's just the more I watched on him, the more I became concerned that is all he is.  Maybe he can develop into more, but I wouldn't want him at #25.  In the 2nd round?  Oh yeah, sign me up for that.

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
