Quality over quantity on the picks, sure.

But this team wasn't carrying 9 rookies. Or 8. or 7. Or maybe even 6.  Our 53 man will be tight this year, unless there are some vet shakeups

I would be very dissapointed if one or more of our 5 draft picks failed to make the roster. I think we will probably see a couple of UDFA make the roster as well, as we have been used to under Gman

Ermmm, what's the difference between a regular starter and playoff starter? You know it's the same right?

ERRMMMMMM no they are not.

There are players that should start for super bowl contenders. And there are some that should not.

Really like how Daryl Williams "attacks" DLs w/o lunging/

getting off balance as pass protector. Should instantly be bull

in run game in NFL.

Daryl Williams , OT, Oklahoma: 6'5'', 327 pounds, 35" arms, and

9 3/4" hands. Stud football player. Checking boxes so far.

#OU OT Daryl Williams might be the most underrated OL in the

draft. Plug him in at Right Tackle and let him roadgrade.

CBS Sports Dane Brugler@ dpbrugler Dec 1

Two strong run blocking RTs Rob Havenstein and Daryl

Williams both will be in Mobile. A pair of mean maulers who

block out the sun

Props to Gman for realising how weak this draft is and then taking advantage by maximizing the amount of starter potential that we can get. I also really like how we have kept all of our picks for next year, even though we have traded a combined 38 spots up in the draft. But that just further proves how Gman views this as a weak draft class

Edraft.com scouting report:

"Williams has potential to be a solid starting right or left tackle in the league... It’s not natural for guys with Williams’ size to be good athletes that can win in space. Normally a 6’6”, 330-pound frame will really inhibit an athlete’s ability to move and neutralize anything but power rushers, but Williams has good overall fluidity in his movements... moves rather well...can get to the second level well...excellent anchor ability... above average technician...neutralizes edge defenders well...a good pass blocker... Really moves defenders off the ball as a run defender...great length... a smart player...clearly an on-field leader for the team...most impressive part of Williams’ game is his ability to punch a pass rusher off their initial move and set his anchor to prevent a counter move"

Charlie Campbell's notes on the Oklahoma OT duo of Tyrus Thompson and Daryl Williams going against the dominant Clemson DL:

"Williams played better than Thompson...This duo is reminiscent of the Tennessee tandem of Antonio Richardson and Ja'Wuan James last year. Richardson got more publicity, but NFL teams felt James was the better prospect and selected him in the first round while Richardson fell undrafted because of a micro-fracture knee injury. I'm not saying that Thompson will go undrafted, but don't be surprised if Williams is selected first and is the better pro."

I love the pick and the fact that we did pretty ok for ourselves in value to get him.

I think he winds up starting at RT pretty soon. As someone mentioned above, running to the right is going to be a poo ton easier going forward.
