I don't understand the love affair with Stephen Hill.

Same as the Corey Brown love affair?

Hill has more stats and measurables though and is only 1 year older while having much more experience...one seems more warranted than the other IMO as HILL never had Cam throwing him the rock.

Love affair, lol, did you miss all the people ready to run him out of town when after we threw him back there to return punts?

The simple fact is, only one of those guys has actually contributed at WR for this football team, the other can't get off the practice squad.

More stats, much more experience? That isn't really saying a whole lot.

Hill has 45 career receptions, 594 career yards, and 4 career touchdowns in 2 seasons with the Jets.

Brown has 21 receptions, 296 yards, and 2 touchdowns in only 13 career games.

I mean, if anything it's a push right now. But only one of those guys was a high 2nd round pick. The other was a UDFA. What's that say for Hill?

That's my point too, people will always have their AE.

Says that the Jets are the Jets.

If one of the two turns into a solid contributor for us, I really don't give a poo which one it is, as long as they help this team win football games.

    • I swear Morgan didn't have 1st(#1 overall) or a 2nd rounder in this rebuild.......Then his first 2nd rounder that he gave up two 5ths for is now out for basically 2 years..... Football is not forgiving....
    • This. They better not even think about bringing him back if they are short on TE's.
    • MHS, You are missing Claudin Cherelus is a LB that's in the mix for the 4th spot. He's been here for 2 years and had a couple injuries. I mean he was a wavier claim and been here for evero system, just had bad luck when given a chance. Jon Rhat is the current leader mainly cause of he is the ST ace. But Id say, Cherelus has the same % to make the roster.  CB has the recent wavier claim of MJ Devonshire a 2024 7th rounder. He's got the good-great combine numbers but he's small size. Still he's in the mix for backup duties, in fact all the non-UDFA are wavier claims.  ______________________________________________________________   Dam shame about Clowney. I view this as a bad move. I feel clowny is well worth the 7.7, even as a backup. He played hard the whole year without help. I just feel he would have helped more than either DJ Johnson or Barno.  My only cope is he's 32 and at any point his miro-knee could force him to drop off a cliff performance-wise. I wanted to keep him around at least until the trade deadline and if no chance at playoff, flip him for a anything. NFL is a meat grinder, no love for locals....
