He's a new fan, lay off

i know Chuck is not known for being straight forward, but i have to wonder if he is serious about Otah?

the dude was here for only a couple seasons before he left with injury issues. how could i consider him for the All-time RT spot?

also, i wouldnt say im a new fan. haha. ive been following the team now for 12 years. just not as long as my Dad and many of the Huddlers here. lol

You're a second generation Panther fan?

Holy poo! You're like a unicorn! Somebody take this kids picture. My son is still 5-6 years away from being a true 2nd gen Pan Fan.

My kids are 2nd generation Panther fans. Kinda. Not huge sports fans. But my daughter goes to App so she's coming around slowly. Son goes to NC State next year but sports aren't really on his radar. Although Delhomme is his fav player. :)

Otah pre-injury was one of the best RT in the league. Def one of the best this franchise ever had.

Schwartz didn't do crap here until he left here.

You gotta be kidding me man.

Bell had a better time here at RT than Schwartz. The man had like 2-3 stints here.

fair enough I guess. see this is why I made this thread :)

haha yes I am indeed. and proud to be so. I was 4 years old when the Panthers were born.

But my daughter goes to App so she's coming around slowly.

is she single?! I have an impressive resume: my favorite team is the Panthers. oh and I have a good job and all that good stuff, but did I mention my favorite team is the Panthers?!

haha jk Moorgan ;) I'm sure your daughter is beautiful though :)

I started this a long time ago and update during the offseason. Our history is so short that it makes putting these lists together complicated and so you have to use judgement calls on what criteria to use. I mostly used stats and all-pro selections and ranked them in that order. Giving all-pros more weight.

Current players most likely to make it in the future: Kelvin Benjamin, Trai Turner, Kawaan Short, Star Lotulelei, Josh Norman.

OFFENSE:

WR2: Muhsin Muhammad - Patrick Jeffers

LT: Blake Brockermeyer - Todd Steussie

LG: Travelle Wharton - Matthew Campbell

C: Ryan Kalil - Jeff Mitchell

RG: Kevin Donnalley - Frank Garcia

RT: Jordan Gross

TE: Wesley Walls - Greg Olsen - Kris Mangum

WR1: Steve Smith - Mark Carrier - Ted Ginn Jr.

QB: Cam Newton - Jake Delhomme

FB: Brad Hoover - Mike Tolbert

HB: DeAngelo Williams - Jonathan Stewart - Stephen Davis - Fred Lane

DEFENSE:

LDE: Julius Peppers - Mike Rucker

LDT: Greg Kragen - Brentson Buckner

RDT: Kris Jenkins - Sean Gilbert

RDE: Charels Johnson - Greg Hardy

SLB: Thomas Davis - Will Witherspoon

MLB: Luke Kuechly - Jon Beason - Sam Mills

WLB:Lamar Lathon - Kevin Greene

LCB: Ricky Manning Jr - Eric Davis - Tyrone Poole

RCB: Chris Gamble - Ken Lucas

SS: Mike Minter - Chris Harris

FS: Deon Grant - Pat Terrell

SPECIAL TEAMS:

K: John Kasay

P/KO/H: Todd Sauerbrun

PR: Steve Smith - Ted Ginn Jr.

KR: Michael Bates - Steve Smith

LS: Jason Kyle

I like the list, I just had to tweak it a bit.

She's single and hopefully staying that way until after medical school. But I'd certainly want her to marry a Panther fan...maybe not a Huddler...but a Panther fan. [emoji4]

My .02 about RT

I'd argue Jordan Gross was the best ever there for us. That's where he played as a rookie in our '03 Super Bowl year. Got moved to LT in '04 when Steussie got hurt in camp. Then moved back to RT in '05 when we lost the NFCCG in Seattle. Became our permanent LT in '06.

Those 2 years at RT beat Otah's entire career there.

if I had a daughter, I wouldn't want her marrying any of these jokers either ;) med school though huh? smart girl. best of luck to her. I'm about a year away from earning my 4 year in Spanish and linguistics, and I certainly know how tough college can be. how far along in her degree is she?

She's about through 2 years now. Even works at the stadium for App home games. So there's hope for her sports interest yet.

    • Well, they're both in the same league (if you will). During preseason, Fitz went 3/3 & Sauls went 5/6, but of course Sauls was 4/4 last night (including one 50+). Both were Lou Groza Award finalists. I believe Fitz made two 55+ yarders last season, while Sauls led the nation with three. Fitz was 13/13 (💯) while Sauls was 21/24 (87.5). Fitz was a 3rd-Team AP All-American, while Sauls was a PFF All-American.  Career-wise, Fitz was 58/74 (78.4), while Sauls was 52/64 (81.3). I wish that I could see the attempts and knew the depth of yardage. I wish that we could compare practice kicks during their training camps, but we can't. Maybe someone with a PFF/CFF account can give that Basically it's just a matter of belief I guess. Seeing dude knock down four FGs and go perfect during a pressure-filled game for him is damned impressive if you ask me. I don't believe that Fitzgerald could do that.  That being said, I'd have to know more. I will say that it may be worth mentioning that we seem to like PFF this year and Sauls being a PFF All-American may be notable. Now that being said, the Panthers may not be even considering Sauls.
    • Ive said it 1000x times on here.  Our 2025 season will be dictated by the first 4 games.  poo the bed there and lose all confidence and momentum, we win 5 games maybe.  Go 2-2, 3-1 we got a look at 7/8 wins
    • I basically made almost the exact predictions on a phone call with a buddy about 3 weeks ago. I really do expect Evero gone before the seasons end, Young to just not able to get over the hump enough and DC to head into next season on a VERY hot seat.
