Online You vs Real World You

Meh, I think i'm far more erratic and open with my random thoughts on here.  but I think it has more to do with when I'm posting then the everyday me.

I'm a generally cool person to meet, always have a few crazy stories up my sleeves from when I travel a lot. I have some cool tattoo's and get stopped and asked about them all the time.

I'm a closet super nerd in real life. most people dont know this but yeah I know a lot of geeky stuff, and I'm more open about it on here.

I'm MUCH more opinionated here. I generally keep my opinions to myself in the real world. I think the main reason I go to the Tinderbox is so that I can vent some of the opinions I keep bottled up with my real world friends. Aside from that, I'm not sure how different I between these two social realms. I suppose I'd need the opinion of someone who knew me in both contexts.

I'm basically the same irl as I am online.

But many people here actually believe I'm Patrice O'Neal.

LOL...that is funny and there must be something to that because when I read your posts, I can't help to imagine Patrice is behind them. I have no idea why because it doesn't happen when I read anyone else's comments.

It's not like I read Jangler's posts and think "I agree with Hayden's viewpoint on the upcoming Panthers game, now I shall pie her to show that I agree her assessment."

On a side note, I wanted something to listen to at work the other week and your avatar gave me the idea to watch / listen to his Elephant in the Room stand up. Good stuff.

I can say from personal experience....JR's feet are way way worse in real life than they ever could be online

I think if I ever changed my huddle pic some peoples heads might explode like wtf? My username and pic are basically synonymous at this point lol.

Jase is much more talkative irl  :)  Yeah, not really...

Johnny Rockets is pretty much exactly who I thought he'd be.

I'm trying to think of someone that I've met on here that is much different irl, it'd probably be Jase or Dpantherman... both are much more reserved/quiet in person.

I think I'm about the same... honestly if anything my online persona has helped me to be more outgoing and talkative in person than anything... I'm much more "open" to talking to new people now than I used to be.

The more anonymous you are online, the more you "act out" imo....  I know there are people on here that aren't as they seem to be irl... of course the huddle is more semi-anonymous than a lot of the internet too so...

    • It was absolutely a catch, and I can’t believe how many folks were stating, before the NFL’s apology, that the overturn was the right call.  The ultimate question in this case is this: can a player complete a catch with only one hand? Of course, we all know the answer to that question, and it is an emphatic “Yes.” T-Mac maintained complete control with one hand (believe it was the right) while the other came off when the ball hit the ground. The ball was in the same position in the one hand (watch T-Mac’s fingers in relation to the NFL shield on the ball) after touching the ground as it was when it first went to the ground. Going back to the question above, if one hand can establish control, then there was no need for the other to stay on the ball, so long as the ball doesn’t move in that one hand that stays on it   It blew my mind that they overturned this in the first place. This should not be a “We got it wrong on the replay because there wasn’t clear and convincing evidence.” This should have been, “That was absolutely a catch.”
    • Sign him up. I am willing to bet he wouldn't finish a game with -2 yards.
    • He is just fuging limited in every way.  On one hand, and nfl player, you would want to bulk them up so long as it doesn’t limit their mobility, elasticity, flexibility, ROM, or dynamicism - as is the concern with bulking up.  But the issue with that is, you would be worried about that when a guy has those traits to begin with.  Bryce is a very average athlete with a weak arm.  So if you’re not gonna be a great athlete with a strong arm, bulk up.  And if you can’t or won’t bulk up, find another fuging profession that doesn’t require athleticism and arm strength.  You’re built like a bitch AND aren’t a great athlete - you can’t be subpar in both categories…  well, unless you play for the Panthers apparently.
