Don't expect Stewart...

Even if Stewart is injured for a while, there is no way you can prove whether your "inside information" was legit or merely a coincidence. Just because somebody predicts we lose the season opener, and we do, doesn't mean he knew it as a fact all along. He can pretend to....which is where you come in.

practice squad last year got $88k. CFL average is $100k.

for a third overall pick it would be over $200k.

Agree with 88k. Disagree with 100k. The CFL roster is 46 players and they have a 4.2 million salary cap. That won't hit 100K. You also have to consider that's canadian dollars, roughly equal to 90 cents american.

You are very wrong about the 200K salary. A high pick like Lee might get 50k plus a SMALL signing bonus. Them damn canandians expect a player to show they can produce before giving a big dollar contract.

BINGO! Looks like a lot of people owe the OP an apology.

Nobody owes the OP any kind of apology, even if he does miss the first week or more of the season. How hard was that to predict anyways? It's like shooting fish in a barrel when a player misses the entire preseason to guess that he may miss the first week of the season. He guessed, and now he's getting more confident in his guess due to the team having picked up another player at the position. That's just how it goes. You flip a coin and sometimes it lands on heads. Just because you predict it to happen doesn't mean you have inside information about the flight trajectory of quarters.

I'm not guessing. I know. I touched upon how I know earlier in the thread, go back and read and you'll find it. IF you're too lazy for that I will repeat myself...I have a friend who has become friends with Stewart in the offseason, around a week ago Stewart was talking to him and telling him how bad his achilles is and how the team has been sending him off to specialist after specialist to try and treat the problem without surgery but thus far nothing has been too effective. Every other day or so he is able to run on it, but then it flares up bad enough for him to have troubles making it up a set of stairs.

I told you, I don't start threads, I'm not gonna start one unless I'm pretty sure the information will be backed up. Unfortunately I don't work for WBTV, I don't work for NBC nor any other sports outlets in this area so no one will believe me until it's proven, my intention is not to waste anyones time reading a bullshit thread, and I certainly wouldn't waste my time posting it if I thought it weren't true.

I hate to say it, and I hate the prospect of losing Stewart, Goodson is a good back but he isn't a bruiser like Stewart, he isn't the kind of back who will push the line back and get us those 7 inches on 3rd and short.

The point is, and it's been said to almost everyone who starts a thread like this, no one takes something anyone heard from a "source," seriously, unless they can provide a link/name/etc. That's it.

The OP got flamed for refusing to "throw his source under the bus." We don't have time for that bullpoo around here.

And yet half the time when a source or link is provided, it STILL ends up being bullshit. So what exactly is the difference? If I could provide a link or something to that effect, I would. Go back through and read my threads, and you'll see that when a link, or information is required I usually back up what I say with links, evidence, etc.

If there was some way I could prove it, I'd be more than happy to. Unfortunately we will have to wait until later in the week to see whether I'm right or not.

#1 Megadeth sucks and have since the late 80's.

#2 Just how do you propose I prove what I'm saying? It's like eating broken glass with you ignorant bastards. Or it just proves how far down the ladder society has slid to where we can't even take someone at their word anymore, ESPECIALLY when you have no reason to believe otherwise. Nothing I've ever posted before has been B.S or misleading as far as information goes.

Think about it dipshit, I've been a member for 2 and a half years, I have less than 200 posts.....why the f**k would I waste my time posting this up if I didn't have a reason to???

All I was trying to do was somewhat vent my frustration at what already seems to be an uphill battle for us this season, granted...I could have delivered the information a little better, but what reason do you have to not believe me? Other then just wanting to be an asshole of epic proportions?, and I end up having to defend myself left and right against a good bit of internet geeks who spend 20 hours a day on this site with one hand on the keyboard and the other on your johnsons all whilst looking at last years Topcats calendar and just hoping to shake Zods hand one day.

    • TBH, if there's one place there should be an overabundance of humor is any conversation about the Panthers or the Hornets. Otherwise, I'd think some are just taking the game way too seriously.
    • We have one of the worst stadiums in the NFL.  Why not bulldoze it and build a real dome or something conducive to crowd noise like Seattle has?  This would just be lipstick on a pig
    • I mean, 40 year olds that grew up on other teams.....simply aren't the same as people that were passed down a team for generations in their family.  When I was kid, my favorite player was Darrell Greene.  Because my team was the Skins.  If the Panthers suck, I can just watch the NFL at large.  It is what it is.  I adopted the Panthers because they were the local team.  The Panthers and the Browns simply aren't going to have the same fanbases right now.  Shouldn't be expected.  And most of the real purchasing power is with people who didn't grow up with the Panthers.  The money isn't with a 19 year olds.  and if the Hurricanes were less successful, people wouldn't be hyping the Raleigh fanbase as much.  But I can concede that is slightly different, as hockey isn't big in the south so most in the area haven't switched over from other teams.  It's their introduction to the sport.  Which makes hockey a little unique as sport.  If you have Raleigh a random MLB team that sucked......I don't that folks could get away with claiming Raliegh fans are "built different" than Charlotte folks.
