Extremely excited about the running back depth this year

Except for the Seahawks and Beast Mode, the NFL is a QBs game.

If all we did in signing Newton to a big $$$ extension is pay for a really expensive guy to hand the ball off more often than not, that was a bad investment.

I would throw Dallas in there.  Its no secret that Dallas's best year in a while came primarily due to the run game.  Baltimore, Cincinnati, and our Panthers used heavy doses of the run game as well.   Although granted that our QB was a significant part of the running game.

I am actually hoping for a little less creative and attacking with an old school mentality.

Andrew Norwell - Ryan Kalil - Trai Turner

                    Lee Ward

      Jonathan Stewart or Mike Tolbert

That , my friends, is a recipe for humiliating and tiring defenses early in the game. Once that is done, release the Fozzy for the breakaway runs.

Majority of the run snaps should be ground and pound, but we have a roster full of diverse talent for the run game, and they should be used in all possible manners. RO, Triple option, inverse T blah blah, you know keep the defenses on their heels.

Jonathan Stewart looked bulkier than I've seen him in awhile. Straight muscle. Tolbert is Mr. Consistency. Always looks the same, never hurt, and with a smile on his face. Today Fozzy really stood out to me. He runs so fluidly and is sooooo fast. The guy just flys down the field and it doesn't even look like he's breaking a sweat.

I wonder where Artis-Payne fits into all this? He didn't look bad out there today but definitely looks 4th string atm.

I think CAP has to be considered a long term solution, not an immediate impact player.
