A.J. Klein

Just wanted to show love. Defense never missed a beat when he stepped in the middle, he showed plenty of ability to read an offense and adjust the guys around him accordingly, and he was as sideline to sideline as it gets.

If Like doesn't pass protocol (and I don't think he will) I am perfectly damn fine with Klein as the Mike.

Thought he played well. The only thing I didn't understand is why he was in the nickel with TD instead of Shaq. Isn't that why we drafted Shaq was for coverage?

I think the plan for Shaq is let him learn behind Luke and TD and have him replace TD when he decides to retire after winning a few Superbowls. Plus he behind on reps because of injuries during camp.

The Jags were heavy in free agency and had a good draft--10 new starters.  So when you say.. "We played the Jags", do you know what you are talking about?

Bortles needs a T, a WR (Marquis Lee was out).  The D could use a player or two, but they are not far away.  I bet they win 6 games or so.

Perfectly fine with an okay guy playing instead of the best linebacker in the NFL. Well okay then.

Note the 'If Luke doesn't pass the protocol' caveat implying that Luke will not be available.  Not sure how you reached your conclusion, but OP's post was pretty clear.

Much like Luke and Beason, though obviously a tier or two below them in talent, Klein is a natural MLB playing out of position on the outside.  He brings value as the backup Mike and while it would be best to never see him there he showed that he can step in and provide respectable play.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
    • This is the Buc's division to lose.  We come out on top only if the wheels come off if Tampa.  I agree we can be--and should be--better than the Saints and likely the Falcons.  A 9-8 season would be nice, but it isn't great.  It's mediocre and that something the Panthers haven't been in nearly a decade, but would be reason to celebrate.  Heck, the Steelers will likely fire Tomlin over a 9-8 season because they are tired of being mediocre.
    • First game was a awful stat line. 2nd DNP due to ankle Summer league doesn't help what hes bring, its dang near YMCA pickup game level.  I heavily question the type of player he is and his future was NOT, not not not what you use #4 pick on. Hornets got him on visit and still made the pick, they better hope he has some Larry legend in him. I maintain huge questions.
