Can't advance a fumble in the last 2 minutes. Ken Stabler rule.

This is correct.  Inside of 2 mminutes a fumble can only be advanced if recovered by the player who fumbled.  Even if the ball gets knocked 20 yards downfield, if the fumbling team recovers it returns to the spot of the fumble if the clock is inside of the 2-minute warning.

Regardless, this is the luckiest panthers touchdown I can remember.  Anyone remember a luckier one?

2003 Playoffs vs Rams, Moose recovered a fumbled lateral that Jake goofed on. A defender just missed taking it to the house, and somehow 87 came away with the TD.

Not that it would have any bearing on this play but I think there is also a rule about fumbling forwards in the end zone where it can only be recovered by the ball carrier otherwise it comes back or something like that
