Bye Week NFC South Thread

Jeremy Igo

Recommended Posts

All three NFC South rivals are playing at 1:00 today

Washington at Atlanta

Jacksonville at Tampa

New Orleans at Philly

Obviously, we need that horrid Redskins team to pull out a miracle today. Not sure the other two games matter at all, but fun to make fun of them none the less.

Jeremy Follow me back On Twitter @Mear4Real , but on to what I came to Discuss , According To Sporting Charts The Carolina Panthers Rank 32nd In Yards After Catch (YAC) Now With That Being Said I Understand Why We Don't Get Called An Elite Team, we really don't have any good players at the skill positions mainly Wrs and rb , I'm Going To Name 10 or so Easy Gettable Players That Change That.

Kenny Cook Kansas City 6'4

Duron Carter Indy Colts 6'5"

De'Andre Carter Oakland Raiders 5'10" From Watching Tape I Nicknamed Him Quickness

Di'Andre Campbell San Fran 49ers 6'2"

Laron Byrd Atlanta Falcons 6'4" 4.45 40 Time Also Showing Great Hands

Jeremy Butler Baltimore Ravens 6'3"

James Butler Green Bay 6'3"

Daniel Brown 6'5" Great Physical Receiver with good hands and Good Routes - Only Weakness Is He Is Slow

Da'Ron Brown Kansas City Chiefs 6'0" Great Hands And He Has A Knack For Playmaker Ability

Last But Not Least , My Favorite One That Keep Me Up All Night ,

Rasheed Bailey 6'1" Now When I Watched The Tapes And Even The Preseason Games With The Eagles He Reminds Me Of Odell Beckham Jr.  Kid Has A Knack For YAC , He Shouldn't Be Sitting Home But He Is .

Give These Guys A Look Huddle Who Do You Think Needs a Opportunity? All Are Wrs, I believe in Wegher And Cam Artis Payne

hoping for a miracle in atlanta today. just can't see it happening.

saints..meh, they were about .500 as an away team when they were good. now that they suck again i just can't see them winning in philly, even tho i think philly is overrated.

i want to say that the TB/jax game is interesting just because of how bad both teams are, but i'd be lying. i can't imagine watching more than 5 minutes of it.

The Jags fan group, @BoldCityBrigade, has 2100+ fans in Tampa. They're all sitting in the same 4 sections. All Jags fans jokes aside, that's pretty damn impressive. I would wager that it's never been done before.

Just something outside the game to keep an eye on if that interests anyone (other than me)

atlanta just better come down with sudden injuries, I'm not worried about them at all we know them best and will handle them when they come talking that crap

wow, that would be like watching the ravens play here when we had wolverine playing QB. actually probably worse.

on the upside for raymond james, it will probably be the best concession sales they've had in years.

ugh....that freakin' game. That was the worst (and we've had some bad ones at BoA).

Only difference is they're all in the same sections.  It's going to be very noticeable and very loud (probably the only time Tampa will be loud)

watching the jaxville fans take over that crappy boat field may make that game worth watching. well...maybe for another 10 minutes before i start feeling bad for the bucs. ok...so i won't feel bad for them, but still it would only be a novelty that would wear off after just a few minutes of watching.

overall, i just can't imagine any game be worth me staying awake for (which i don't really need to do because i have to be at work at 10:30 tonight).

I do think the Falcons are kinda pretenders, and ultimately soft myself. And there time will come with those proverbial "unexpected losses (including to the Panthers)". However, I don't know if there gonna happen against Wash in Atlanta. But you never know??

I'm getting on the phone with Gettleman right now. He needs to see this list.

It's gotta be hard to capitalize every word like that. Impressive.

    • Yeah we had multiple chances to tie up the game or take the lead. We have made some significant strides as a team shooting threes but this group absolutely needs to get more aggressive in the paint in crunch time if they want to be a playoff team. For all the praise of the group and Charles Lee being talked up as coach of the year that's just pitiful and unacceptable. Also adding even more insult to the loss. Apparently Embid is 21-1 against the Hornets.
    • I read that they don't like arms under 34", but I do not know.  I can say that I have followed OTs who were drafted and many get kicked inside.  Brady Christensen is one example. RTs seem to be more tolerant of shorter arms.  As much as it seems silly, there is a reason the short-armed prospects can't hack the outside.   For the 2026 NFL Draft, arm length is a critical talking point for offensive tackles, with 33 inches usually being the minimum threshold for teams. Notable top prospects include Monroe Freeling (34 3/4"), Blake Miller (34 1/4"), and Dametrious Crownover (35 3/8") having elite length, while Spencer Fano (32 1/8") is facing potential positional moves.  Top 2026 NFL Draft Tackle Arm Lengths (Combine Measurements) Monroe Freeling: 34 3/4" Blake Miller: 34 1/4" Dametrious Crownover: 35 3/8" Max Iheanachor: 33 7/8" Caleb Lomu: 33 3/8" Kadyn Proctor: 33 3/8" Francis Mauigoa: 33 1/4" Spencer Fano: 32 1/8" Markeel Bell: 36 3/8" Garrett DiGiorgio: 32 5/8" Trey Zuhn III: 32 1/2"  Key 2026 Measurements & Context The 33-inch Cutoff: Many teams consider 33 inches the minimum for NFL tackles, with sub-33 inch arms often leading to a move to guard. Spencer Fano's Case: Despite top-15 draft projections, Fano's 32 1/8" arms at the combine sparked debate about his long-term position, though he measured 32 7/8" at his pro day. High-Length Options: Markel Bell (36 3/8") is a standout for his length, while Dametrious Crownover (35 3/8") also boasts high-end measurements. Proctor's Perspective: Prospects like Kadyn Proctor acknowledge the talk but emphasize that elite film can overcome shorter measurements.  Olinemen I like late:  KY OT Farmer--has the arms but lacks the feet. will be a solid G imo. Parker II (Duke OT with sub 33 inch arms.  Smart with good feet--projects to center.  A smart, agile center is a nice thing. Zuhn III (Tex AM) is another T to C candidate. Of course, I think the Panthers will like traditional center Logan Jones (Iowa) because he is an experienced (50 starts) fit in a zone scheme.
    • He's apparently told the school that he was interested, hence why they are waiting.
