I noticed that immediately. It was likely just a bad night for both because Gore had too much success against us last night.

Of course my immediate concern is injury. I hope they're ok. Whenever TD puts up only 2 tackles, and those two tackles came in the first few plays of the game, that is never a good sign.

there were countless holdings and blocks in the back during the Colts drives. I'm really not a conspiracy theorist but I saw some HORRIBLE calls last night in the game that clearly favored the Colts.

Greg Olsen phantom hold nearly single handedly swung the game. The "catch" in which the ball hit the ground. The player being clearly tackled in bounds giving the Colts more time. Earlier in the game Greg Olsen's pick play was something New England runs on nearly every third down.

couple that with we went into prevent soft defense and the rain stopped

edit: wrong thread thought this was the 4th quarter collapse thread

I couldn't find the answer in all the other threads so can someone tell me what happened to them last night? They both only had 2 tackles and I don't recall seeing either of them late in the game.

Ron addressed this in his press conf. today.  Said they were double teamed most of the night.   It gave a ton of opportunities to others on our D like Coleman, Harper & Tillman (and Luke of course).   The press were laughing about it with Ron, because we've got so many star players on D.  You try to double one or two, you just give others a chance to feast!

I don't remember if TD was in late.  Last week Ron did say that they wanted to be a bit more careful with his snaps, though he hats coming out of the game.

KK was in an out a few times in the 4th I think.  I think they were trying to give some of the D line guys a break to let them get a second wind, since there was a period when it seemed like the line was gassed.

Rivera: Colts were "paying attention" to Thomas Davis and Kawann Short. "They really had a plan to eliminate those two guys." Davis 2 hits.

Rivera says Colts really kept an eye and thus kept under wraps LB Thomas Davis and DT Kawann Short. TD had just two tackles.

    • thats fair.   I was beginning to think rookie punter was in the plans
    • Sam Martin   CARPunter#6 Panthers re-signed P Sam Martin to a two-year contract. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Martin’s deal is up to $5 million. Martin joined the Panthers last season on a one-year deal and wound up booting 56 punts for an average of 47.2 yards per punt. Martin is a 13-year vet of the league who has spent time with four different franchises. He landed a career-best 48.2 percent of his kicks inside his opponent’s 20-yard line last season.
    • Surprised CB is that low.  19th is odd spot. For many recent drafts, teams only felt there were around 14 first round players.  So to many 19 is just an early second and doesn't hold the value of a first.  If you go off- the smart path of LT, QB, edge, WR, CB, etc. Whatever your OG, Safety, ILB, etc needs to be a difference maker, that's the key point. I've said the 8th best edge is better than the 1st safety. Same for QB and even WRs. You should 100% factor in position value.  MHS you've been wanting a FS, let me tell you its super difficult to be a difference making FS. You're just sooo farrrr away from the action and the end result most times. If you're in the play, defense made mistakes in order. Now to talk out of both sides, maaaaaann that white boy from Oregon....I thought he crushed the combine and honestly that alone made me rethink "is he worth 19 now?!?!" he's now in the discussion for me, but still below others.    Plus I feel TE is vastly underrated in value terms. But looking at the last 20 years of TEs in the first, its down right bad. You're better like X10 better drafting one in 4th or 5th.
