Well it seems as if our hog mollie is out for a few weeks, now we have to replace him, but with who? we have 3 guards/centers in the rotation. My personal opinion is to give the start to Velasco. He looked somewhat ok as the center on monday night. If he can just get a little push then the rushing attack will be primed. I still think amini is total garbage and that this is his final year as a pro on our team. Also was not a fan of Scott, he seems like he is overweight and not in game shape.

Ron Rivera confirmed that Amini Silatolu will start at left guard against the #Packers. #GBvsCAR

Rivera praising work of Amini Silatolu. He'll start at LG Sunday with Andrew Norwell out.

Personally, I'm ok with Amini at LG as long as Kalil is at Center, that should not be too bad.

Wonder what will happen with Daryl Williams?   Once again, I doubt we want to mess with the line too much with Norwell out.

One reason not to put Velasco in at LG is that Kalil is coming off an injury.  Want to keep Velasco available as backup Center.  Also Velasco was dealing with an injury earlier this week, while, at least to our knowledge, Amini is fully healthy,

How about Amini since he did a fine job filling in against the Colts?

Well, the Colts d-line isn't anything special and the rain put both defensive lines at a disadvantage.  Hence why we didn't much of a pass rush, especially late in the game when the field became soakin wet.  So, Amini's gameplay on Monday wasn't all Amini.  The rain helped.

The field was soaking wet the whole game.  The pass rush got gassed due to the type of game it became. Amini is adequate at he is aggressive.  He will do for now

The best option are Amini and Williams, we need to be physical against Greenbay.

    • You don’t even need 1b because Tepper is the only one foolish enough to wheel that deal.    Player wise? Jake’s elbow. JR and Pep getting sideways, no Carruth, Cam’s shoulder, Luke’s concussions, it would be a long list of stuff. You can take it down to certain plays in games. Fox chasing 2 point conversions in the SB would be on my list. RMJr slipping at the end of that same game was not helpful.
    • Ultimately this just amounts to heavy revisionist history. I mean you aren't talking to someone that just popped out the womb a week ago. I was here all throughout the predraft process. The overwhelming majority of the fanbase felt like this was a fine situation and the best situation for a rookie QB to go to compared to Houston for example. The hype for Young and our "rockstar" staff was off the charts. No one could dare speak cautious skepticism of his abilities or they would be neg repped into oblivion. Only after he had one of statistical worst rookie seasons of the last 25 years did we get this narrative now that his rookie season actually shouldn't count. Complete malarkey if you ask me.
    • On the field? Since I guess it qualifies as multiple instances it might not count, but have the damn refs throw some flags on illegal hits to Cam's head in SB50. If that doesn't count, 1A. Cotchery caught it 1B. Kasey keeps that kickoff inbounds. Off the field? 1A. Team is sold to anyone but Tepper 1B. We have the patience not to mortgage the franchise on that Bryce trade. Stroudwpuldve been the better pick but he's not worth it either.
