Kony is the only DE we have with the size to kick inside and play some DT. DEs mostly never play STs with the exception of the FG block team.

We dont use him, and I think the main reason they kept him was because he was a fan favorite.

I was thinking that we would use him next year, but I think we are going to have to keep Stewart. He is just playing too good to let him leave, and CAP and our other backups are not getting many reps.

I promise you that no player is on the roster because they are a fan favorite. Outside of the hardcore I doubt many even know who he is. He's insurance at the most injury prone position in the NFL and one of the most injury prone players in the NFL as he is a like-for-like replacement for Stew.
