How that was not a helmet to helmet hit I will never understand. So many people saying the refs saved us cause of like 1 fuggin 12 men in the huddle. Like gtfoh the ball bounced the Aints way every way possible, there were so many bad calls on us and no calls on them.

Literally the Panthers vs the world. fug em all

No helmet to helmet on a runner, which Cam was. Once he crosses the LOS the protection is gone.

You are mistaken. ANY hit on any player that is clearly targeted at the head or neck area is a penalty. It's a judgment call that the ref makes, depending on the situation. QBs in the pocket get it every time, as do defenseless receivers, but runners can also draw the penalty.

I keep hearing people say time and again that Newton will never make it in the NFL because he gets hit too much.

He took a pounding, to the body, to the legs, to the head today... HE THREW 5 TOUCHDOWN PASSES.

Cam Newton falls OUTSIDE of your standard NFL Venn diagram, bitches.

    • Seems like a solid approach.  Hopefully we got some good players
    • This is the kind of picks I like. Look at his story, it’s very possible he was a great football player that just fell between the cracks. He was a walk on at Ohio state for a few years. The talent that would be ahead of him probably prevented him from playing. You also had more experienced players and having to deal with the politics of the team as they probably wasn’t going to give an unproven walk on a job over a 4-5 star recruit that they gave a scholarship to. The linebackers at Ohio state were nfl players, many first round picks.   he goes to Miami, has a great season but doesn’t get a lot of attention cause it’s a small team. So I’m seeing he didn’t even get a combine invite? So that means not many teams were able to see his physical traits. He did well at his pro day.    he could end up being a diamond in the rough. He can make the team by playing special teams, get used to the nfl and work his way up.
    • Yep, no DJ Johnsons, Jonathan Brooks, or Jonathan Mingo picks that make you go WTF.
