Gettleman gaming the Comp Pick situation / Tillman's injury?

Would sort of just add more awe for the job Gman has done if he gets home field throughout playoffs, has a fresh Tillman for them, AND picks up a 3rd rounder in the next draft.  Brilliant

Super Bowl is the end game, not 16-0.  Just get first round bye, then 3 more wins.

Agree with all of you saying the Superbowl is the goal and not a comp pick.  So, I don't put that much stock in the article I posted...  *PERHAPS* G'man may have been trying to see if he could improve his chances for a comp pick, while resting Tillman as long as it wasn't going to hurt the team's victory chances... but while Bene played well outside, Colin Jones was a liability at Nickel, and so I don't think G'man would have continued to keep Tillman on the bench once Jones weakness became evident.

Certainly the Finnegan pick up couldn't have been planned.  We had Amini go to IR and Horton get suspended which freed up two roster spaces - 1 for CJ's return, and the other for Finnegan's signing.

Tbh, I'd be shocked if G-man has a say who stays on the bench and who doesn't.

lol, why would this thread need to be top secret?

I was worried a lot of folks would just hate on the fact that it's from C-S-R.

Also, I thought it might be ignored here in the main thread where there are so many threads about our win.  It will move down the board quickly, so it had a better chance of generating discussion in  All Pro.

No disrespect to the main forum intended, honestly.  I have only ever posted 1 or 2 threads in All Pro.  I post most of my stuff here in the main forum and really respect the quality of what the vast majority of Huddlers contribute.  This is a pretty awesome forum... as befits a TRULY AWESOME TEAM.

it's Rosanne Rosanadanna, aka Gilda Radner.

DANG... I'm just having an Epic FAIL in posting tonight!  LOL.  I knew that.... but for some reason typed Tomlin's name.

I think I'd better just call it a night.  Besides, it's already way too late in my time zone...

Grass isn't so greener on the other side I see.

Well, there ARE Jeremy's locker room updates.  Those are pretty cool...

But basically, I view all Pro membership as the cost of keeping this place running and to help ensure Jeremy can get to all games...

We could get him back and limit him to keep him under 50% now that bene is out i see him sitting a couple more weeks just to be absolutely sure he is good.  Fortunately he has one of the best knee docs in the business right down the hall.

If we werent so close to the line this would be a non issue but i think nippleshorts will definetly make it known that we need to  limit his snaps...  With the injury that's going to happen anyway though.   Don't forget..  You can alway adjust the defense and allow plays (snaps)  if your really trying to game the system.  And your ahead in the game

neither that derp site (C-S-R) nor anyone here knows how the comp pick formula works.  Many places have postulated that FA's gained and lost cancel each other out on a one for one basis, which is ridiculous.  The point of the comp picks is to benefit teams who lose more value in FA than they gain, and if anyone tries to say that Charles Tillman helps us as much as Hardy would have is out of their gd mind.  The most sensible theory is that contract signed, playing time played and honors achieved is what's calculated to determine how much FA value a team gained vs how much they lost, but I don't know how it works and no one here does either.  No one outside of the NFL league offices does.
