Still seeing the old Carolina's had an easy schedule excuses...

I usually ask them then who else is a good team.   Then once they name a team I ask them who have they beaten. Pretty much ends the conversation. Some people blame injuries but I look at them and smile .  As a carolina fan I refuse to accept the injury excuse. We've had more than our share over the decade.

We're undefeated. We're a target. Just ignore them.

I hear what you're saying and I tend to agree with that most of the time.....but it's getting to the point now where it's just blatantly obvious ppl are hating just for the sake of hating.  They aren't used to the Carolina Panthers being good.  As much as I want to ignore it, the other part of me wants to take the "Josh Norman approach" and start calling people out on their BS

I prefer to correct them.  When they want to base their arguments on weak stuff like this it should be ridiculed and shown why it's a weak argument.

Besides if we ignored everything what would we talk about?

Football?

If you're a lot better than they thought you'd be, they scream easy schedule.  If you're not nearly as good as they thought you'd be, they scream tough schedule and/or injuries.

At the end of the day, it's the media protecting their egos.  If they weren't right, there has to be a reason for it.  They can't just simply be wrong.

I like Josh and I'm cool with what he says in the media but I also think Rich Eisen had a good point in that interview Josh did on his show.

The most ironic thing about the schedule issue is that New England pretty much has an equivalent schedule to the Panthers.

NFC East check (they went 3-1 losing to the eagles, we are currently 3-0 with the Giants remaining)

AFC South check (Patriots are 3-0 with a game vs the titans remaining and we are 4-0)

They played the Steelers who are 8-5 Panthers played Seatle who is 8-5 (these are comparable quality teams)

They played the Broncos who are 10-3 Panthers played the Packers who are 9-4 (once again pretty close for comparison sake)

Then their division has the 8-5 Jets the 6-7 Bills and the 5-8 Dolphins where the NFC South has the 6-7 Falcons the 6-7 Bucs and the 5-8 Saints.

There is not enough difference in these 2 schdules to call one of them cupcake without calling the other one cupcake as well.

Some guy in the NYPost had an article a few days ago that mentioned we had beaten only 2 +.500 teams. I'm kind of new to twitter but pointed out that of all the division leaders, only Denver has beaten more than 2 wins vs +.500 teams (4), everyone else only has 2 wins over+.500 teams, and one team (cant remember which) has only 1,

Dude proceeded to follow me on twitter

You know, when I hear this, I think I'm just going to start saying. Yep, we didn't think it was going to be, but man, we've aced the test so far. How'd the rest of you guys do? Really? We just studied hard, practiced hard and then played our games. No biggie.

And then look them right in the eye and ask, "How's your team doing?"
