Dilfer accuses Panthers' secondary of routine cheap shots

Rarely do I watch anything except live-game ESPN but it's on in the background tonight. Dilfer just accused the Panthers' secondary, and specifically Norman, of routine cheap shots. Says anyone who doesn't watch the all 22 wouldn't know. "Don't be fooled by the glamour of the undefeated Panthers...this is a trend." Another OBJ apologist, no surprise. But I'll be the first to admit...I don't watch the all 22. Anyone who does...any merit to this? Coleman is hard nosed, Harper a vet who has towed the line, but it's hard for me to see this as a unit-wide trend. Embellishment one thing, slander another. If unsubstantiated it's absurd. Irrespective, love the hate. Embrace it.

KEEP HATING

Not really cheap shots but Norman has gotten in the face of opposing players in between plays on multiple occasions to talk trash. Did it against Seattle, Dallas, Atlanta after Julio gave him a little pop then obviously the Giants and I'm sure some others. I assumed that's what Dilfer was talking about because he definitely doesn't take shots at people. I haven't seen it from anyone else in the secondary either. So while there is some truth to it Dilfer is still f'ing bitch and made it sound like he was taking swings at people between plays.

Don't have ALL 22, but I am sure Dilfer is blowing hot air. Ron Rivera appears to be a high character person and coach, I doubt he would allow/teach  his secondary to take cheap shots at players. However, the Panthers are a physical team and will let the opposition know (feel) about it.

I get what you're saying in your post, but I just want to point out: there's no truth to the accusation that anyone in the secondary is taking cheap shots at people nor has there ever been. What you're talking about would be a separate thing.

Just keeping it straight :)

Re: Rivera, exactly. Eagerly await his reaction when Joe Person brings this up.
