No credit is due anywhere. The Falcons played as hard as they could and still needed the Panthers to do absolutely NOTHING on offense for them to barely win the game. This was all about the Panthers sucking, and any honest Falcons fan would admit that much.

Fact: The Panthers beat themselves.

Fact: Anyone saying the Panthers didn't beat themselves is employing a defense mechanism, because if you beat yourself, then that means you could've done something about the loss...which they could've.

So Julio Jones didn't catch that ball and run it in for a TD?

Sean McDermott didn't call the play that placed a LB and a safety in coverage on Julio Jones?

CAN YOU READ? The Panthers' OFFENSE lost this game, for the 100th time. Holding the Falcons to 20 points in Atlanta was a good enough defensive effort.

Wait... you're telling me the OFFENSE let Julio Jones catch a 70+ yard TD pass?

Interesting.

P.S. You do realize the Falcons only punted the ball ONCE today, right?  O-N-C-E.

If you read my first post, IF YOU CAN READ, it's clear that my point is the Panthers' Offense can FART OUT more than 20 points. The fact that they lost this game isn't because the Defense gave up 20, it's because the Offense didn't show up.

The Panthers have won SIX games this year where the defense surrendered 23 points or more.

SIX.

What I'm thinking is that MAYBE the defense ought to step up once and a while and cover for the OFFENSE against a team not named the Jacksonville Jaguars or the Tennessee Titans.

THAT'S WHAT I SAID! THE OFFENSE LOST THE GAME, NOT THE DEFENSE!

Reading Comprehension???

I think Atlanta's effort was their highest of the season. Ours was the lowest. And not just effort in the game. Effort in preparation. We've been doing too much talking about the Giants and the Pro Bowl. We should have been talking Atlanta on Monday.

Was thinking, and said the same thing to people I know.

The defense looked bad, but 20 points shouldn't be considered too many points to win.

The falcons were able to get a consistent pass rush, while covering receivers or batting passes. They outplayed the Panthers today. It happens. It's not the end of the season. Now, this can't happen any more this year.

Anyone that has done anything knows that if you want the prize you have to deal with adversity and loss.. Wow we have one loss..

Get in reality maggots, it's how you deal with it. I'm confident we will adjust accordingly. Talk to me after the superb owl.

    • The best coordinators in the league don't want to touch a team that is going to force them to start their pet project players/coordinators who are failing. I can't put a HC on the chopping block who isn't allowed to choose his own QBs, DC, or what RB he wants to start.
    • I'm not looking forward to watching the ALL 22, but I could tell Bryce was given control to audible out of runs in 1Q, that control of the offense was taken away in 2Q to regain field position, and when Canales made him throw the ball in 3Q with the play calling, Bryce had no idea what was going on with the Seahawks defense. Bryce was spooked. He was seeing ghosts worse than Sam Darnold ever has. His hesitation, lack of urgency, and lob balls were the most consistent part of his game on Sunday.
    • I wanted Micah Parsons. So, I'll always be disappointed until Horn starts closing out games on defense consistently while becoming a playmaker teams refuse to throw at. I never wanted Brian Burns either. I wanted Dexter Lawrence. Now, if we can figure out how to get Hunter Henry, CMC, Lamar Jackson, Dexter Lawrence, Micah Parsons, Garrett Wilson, Jahmyr Gibbs, Jared Verse, or Ladd McConkey in a trade for Jaycee Horn, Ikem Ekwonu, Bryce Young or XL, I'm definitely on board. Anyone else, want to go after the players the Panthers should have drafted or kept for the ones they should have never touched?
