Dear Seahawks: Teddy Checkdown won't be on the field next week

The league MVP, however, will be rested and ready.

To be fair, the Seahawks struggle more against TEs and RBs than they do a vertical passing game. Cam needs to become check down Cam at least part of the time if the Panthers want to score points.

He can do it. He can also come out in a hurry up and shred them in the medium passing game.

Yeah.

Shula, can't be afraid to post points on them. Cause, Seattle has given up points to good defenses. Plus it's a playoff game vs the Hawks.

You don't want one of those bogged down, rock em sock games, that you have to pull out at the end.

The Panthers are home. They need to come out early and score. And make the game free and easy, making the Seattle offense one dimensional.

The Seahawks have Bobby Wagner back, who didn't play in round 1. That's a big reason why we ran all over them. The key to round 2 is on offense Olsen vs Kam Chancellor. Kam's been pretty shitty against opposing TEs this year. Olsen's gotta have a big day.

Defensively, Mcclain needs to step the fug up and hold down while Russels dancing around.

Yea but we didnt lose. you can say that about any game, kind of like we should have won sb49 but butler made a lucky interception. Doesnt matter how you win. We still made a comeback in the 4th and put the team in position to win.

A lucky interception he says! Wilson threw a terrible pass to lose the only important game in a season and it was a "lucky" interception. HAHAHAHAH! Get outta here Turkey.

Wait, those were all 5 yard passes that Cam was completing earlier in the year when the Panthers had four 80-yard drives against the Seahawks?

So, no... you're not being 'fair'.  You're being 'dumb'.

Dumb?  Since that game, the Seahawks defense has locked down pretty much every offense the last 8 weeks other than the Steelers.  They were having lots of issues in the secondary back then but they have since rectified them judging by their defensive ranking (#1).  What happened in week 6 has little bearing.  Both teams are much different.  If the Panthers want to move the ball, they are going to have to utilize Olsen and the RBs in the passing game.  But to score, Ginn/Philly/Funchess are going to have to prove they can beat man coverage.  We will see.  I hope so.

I really hate using this argument, but the Qbs they faced? Jimmy Clausen, Manziel?, Gabbert, Teddy, Keenum?, and Palmer. Throw in the fact that barely any of these teams had any semblance of a run game, I'm not surprised that Seattle dominated.

I'm not knocking the crappy qbs the Seahawks' defense have faced...for them to be considered the best defense around and the "LOB IS BACK".         It sets up the story........  "Camvp shows why he is mvp,  by ripping through the best defensive dynasty in NFL history".

These guys are comical. I have never seen a board with so many internet tough guys, real warriors. Come back after we win and all the "hard cores" will be gone. The Panthers are so good that in spite of their 15-1 record, Vegas odds makers set the initial line at Panthers 2.5 which basically states the Seahawks are the better team. HAHAAHHAA.

Yeah.

Just like the Hawks were 5-7 pt favorites over the lowly Vikings.

We saw how true that worked out huh?

Can't wait for THE REAL GAME next week!!

I see many  terrified, despondent Seahawk fans, immediately became bombastic after the Minny place kicker gifted a win to you (please look up the word if you don't know).

OK tough guy/Amateur Internet Troll Wannabee!

    • Like many of the old heads, I’ve been here for a long time.  I got a lot of respect for everyone on this board for your dedication to this team.  We’ve all been through it during the tougher years. At this point in life, I’m not one to judge anyone’s level of dedication, or their reasons why anymore.  Time, and a lot of bad football, will do that.  For me, it’s simple.  We share a common bond.  For that, I love and appreciate all of you crazy SOB’s. For me, last season was at a minimum, entertaining.  BY lead a young team to multiple come from behind 4th qtr wins.  That showed me heart, and that he has the clutch gene.  That’s the wildcard intangible.  For me, that was fun to watch even  if it was mindbogglingly frustrating at times.  Over the past two seasons, we have progressively built a better team around him.  On paper, the defense should be better this season.  That’ll help.  Let’s see what he can do as the other guys continue to develop too.  Besides, his contract is cheap for a few more years, and we just made some smart cap decisions during the draft. Let’s see how it shakes out.
    • Hiring Shula & his Cam save us playbook.
    • I would very much liked to have seen Jake Delhomme's career if Tommy Jone no hurt Jake.  I just know that roster and the leadership were destined to hit paydirt but Jake was never the same after the elbow injury, and unfortunately he was the sole reason they didn't make it back to the big one.  I think that 08 team was the best in the league, and Jake masked his inability well all season til the Arizona game put it all on display.  I'll go back to the season prior even and say the 07 team was primed to be a competitor.  Jake was off to a fantastic start that year (for a Panthers QB).  They may have been a championship caliber club for a few seasons after 08 too.
