Historical QB Matchup

No, not that one. Brady and Manning has been done, redone, done again and basically just about done to death.

I mean the never-before matchup in the NFL.. two Heisman Trophy-winning QBs playing head to head for the first time in the playoffs in history. It's kind of amazing that this hasn't happened before, I mean, there have been a lot of playoff games and a lot of QBs have won the Heisman, but never have two of them played against each other in a game of this importance.

Pretty amazing.

Of course, Cam is our third Heisman-winning QB, but neither of the other two were getting us to the playoffs.

I threw that one in there because I was rolling through the roster of Heisman winners to make sure it was only two for our team (how many new fans wouldn't even have known Weinke?), and there was Vinnie Testaverde down there on the list back when they wore leather helmets and cowboy boots.

Made for a good trick trivia question.

    • just read the thread. I would like to say that the team not being sold to Tepper is an absolute banger of an answer and probably the right one

Initial gut reaction when I first thought of this question is Kasay kicks it in bounds on the kickoff, but unfortunately I still think New England wins that game even with that My second instinct was pulling Bene out before he breaks his leg in the playoffs. My crackpot theory is if he never gets hurt we win the superbowl. I refuse to go back and watch the game but at some point Peyton throw an absolute duck that should have been pick 6'd. but because we were on our like fifth outside corner he was slow to the ball. this would have completely flipped that game because I'm pretty sure Denver scored that drive and the next one was the Cam sack fumble
