Can't say he'll always be my favorite panthers forever but he has been also my favorite panther player since I started watching the Panthers in 2004 playoffs I watched with my dad. Never seen a player with his level of passion and competitiveness ever since.

Meh I don't know about that.  Love Smitty still but Kuechly and Davis are very passionate and competitive.  And with the way Trai Turner has been playing I could throw him in there as well.  As far as wide receivers go though I'd have to agree.

I got into watching Panthers ball around the same time, one of the first games I watched had fuging Nick Goings rushing for like 100+ yards lol. I think Smitty was hurt in '04

lol.....I do not know how I am going to make it until Sunday!!    My only 2 calls...back to back.

I did not expect Smitty to be on there.  Just too tempting.  I was the one who asked him about Cam....he seemed to give a generic answer.  Also asked him if he thought we would have a rematch of the Superbowl he played in.  He did not want to say he thought Carolina would be there.  Then Soloman got into a discussion about that game which I only heard part of, but sounded interesting.

If it is the part I'm thinking of Solomon said he had a conversation with McGinest about the game where the Panthers went up early and then former Panther/current Patriot Tyrone Poole started talking trash and McGinest said from that point on Smith and the Panthers were playing lights out.  McGinest said players were piling on Poole on the sidelines telling him to shut his mouth!

Sr. still has a chip on his shoulder re: Panthers.  I could tell in his answers.  They were measured and truthful but he quickly went on to other points rather than personal Panther memories that he could have shared.  The hurt is real on his end.
