No pie for you.

I highly doubt it.  Cameron Jerrell Newton, Esq., Friend of Children, Lover of Puppies, Beloved Father, MVP, has totally bought into the Carolina team and the Charlotte area.  He ain't going nowhere (mainly because the Panthers are not crazy enough to let him).

FIFY ;D

Why do you think that?

Most players never have or never will play for their hometown team, cause even Kuechly going to his hometown Bengals would be minuscule as far as what it would do for the team overall and city overall

I hope the situation here is way too good for him to consider leaving but you know Arthur Blank, Future, and every other Atlanta star is going to do whatever it takes to bring Cam home in 2020 -

I'm bracing for it, I hope it doesnt happen but on the bright side Cam would have played his first 10 years as a Panther .. on the not so bright side he could play 10 more for Atlanta

And I am someone who 100% believes Stephen Curry is going to be a Hornet in about a year and a half. Curry may be the saving grace in all of this ... if Curry comes to Charlotte which he is, Cam couldn't leave.

I'd love nothing more for Cam to be a Panther until at least the twilight of his career (35+) and I hope that what he is building here becomes so great, he can't leave it .. but the thing is Cam Newton can bring the show wherever he goes and he knows it, Cam is bigger than the Carolina Panthers, how bad does he want to bring the show to his hometown? or does he just want to create his own legacy in Charlotte

Yes, Cam is from Atlanta, but I just don't see him leaving to go play for his hometown team.

Also, Future will be too LIT off of that Dirty Sprite to be able to get Cam to come home.

There is no need to worry.

Yeah, that's not happening...ever.

The Panthers are not letting him go.

If the Cleveland Cavaliers had it their way LeBron wouldn't have went to the Miami Heat .. players as big as Newton .. uh .. do what they want

See, there's this thing called a contract, and NFL contracts are a lot stronger than NBA ones. Even Tom Brady can't just decide he wants to play somewhere else.

But even accepting this premise, have you read Newton's quotes about Charlotte?

Quote

"I'm in a position where just as much love as you get, you get hatred. Obviously, I hear what people say, the letters that they write," Newton says. "My big thing was trying to make the biggest impact on people that would give me a chance and Charlotte has always welcomed me with open arms.

"It's something that puts a smile on my face. It puts a smile on my heart as well as my family's just to know I can always call Charlotte home and will always call Charlotte home."

The boogeyman you're creating here only exists in your head.

The Panthers are in their tiny, little heads as the Panthers, and Cam, are dabbing through the NFC Conference Championship...

Enjoy Atlanta fans, Panthers are the three-time NFC South Champions. Keep looking up at Big Brother.....

Yeah I listened to the presser last night. He said Charlotte was a great city before he came and will be great after him .. after him ?. I'm talking about after the 2020 season by the way, when he is a FA

He's not going to be a free agent.

When was the last time you saw a franchise quarterback hit free agency?

The team will extend him before the contract ends.  That's how it works with your biggest players.
