There is a new guard/old guard vibe going on with this Super Bowl.

The traditionalists last stand/hope... Manning's "magic".

Rational minds know better... Super Bowl 50 is turning out to be the perfect transition point.

Down with the 'Establishment' and the cabal!

I've seriously hated Dildofer when after the Giants game, in his defense of Odell Beckham, he said the has watched hours of Panthers film and he knows the Panthers play dirty, not just Norman.

On a side note; Odell Beckham has to use his entire name because there is already a more famous "football" player that goes by Beckham.

I haven't forgotten..he almost turned into a box of Morton salt this morning on MikeandMike....his whole body language was telling like he hated talking about the Panthers being in the Superbowl..

I really don't know what happened to dilfer. He was a HUGE cam supporter and the two texted each other and cam sent workout tapes for him to review (so dilfer says). So I dunno if something happened with their relationship or if ESPN is paying him to be contrarian, my guess is the latter.

Its really strange. YouTube Trent Dilfer Cam Newton and watch the video of Trent talking about Cam when he was a motivational speaker in Charlotte. He predicted the panthers would be in the super bowl by year 5 or 6 in Cam's career after his first season.

He actually brought that up during the segment on Mike&Mike, but he still seems salty.

    • Dude you're all over the place. Bryce definitely played better than average down the stretch last year. That's what I said. I dont think it's controversial, and I think it's true based both on stats and by actually watching him play. He was the 6th rated passer by PFF during the last 8 weeks. In no world is that below average You trying to twist this into something else is a you thing.  Have a great night
    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
