Does the fun version of Cam return next season?

You can't be confident when you KNOW your line can't protect you and there's nothing you can do. Our offensive line got dominated to the point that they were scared. Why would he be confident?

He can't be! But he has to start learning to make changes! Part of me wonders if Shula had given him power to change his line blocking and he failed, hence Shula's comments.

If not, Cam needs to be on the phone with Shula going "WTF?" diplomatically. Last night was more of Denver finding a breakdown in our communication than out-playing us IMO

Cam will find motivation in this, no doubt. He is who he is and I could give a hoot that he got up and walked out of that press conference. He said everything he needed to say. The offense as a whole (including Cam) played extremely poorly and Denver just flat out made more plays. What else was he supposed to say? Cam said more in 2 minutes with his freaking body language and abrupt exit than any other player in the NFL when they talk for 15 minutes after a game.

I remember in one of his pressers last week, when asked about facing Manning Cam said (paraphrased):

"I am more worried about sliding protections to Ware and Miller." That indicates to me its on Cam to do that. I wonder if that is a change. Kahlil used to do it early on.

Not sure but something was up in the communication part! Cam is a student of the game, more so than I ever thought he would be, so I got faith that he grows from all this!

Plus, people wanna say "the moment was too big for him" like it's an insult. It's not an insult! How many 26year old's you know that could handle those two weeks?

I expect Cecil Newton will sit him down like he has done after every season and go over with Cam what he did right and what he did wrong.  How Cam bounces back from this will be interesting to see.  I'm more concerned with what Gettlemen does and says at his end of year press conference.

That's right, can't downplay dad's influence, and his knowing his son better than anyone else (save mom). He knows what buttons to push. He's going to keep Newton's head "in the game" so to speak. And I am talking on and off the field.

Bogart, I am with you regarding G-man.

I'd rather Cam react like he did than just bottle it up and give some bland filler responses to the media. While there is a line i dont really care about good/gracious losers. Show me a good loser, and you'll show me a loser. I love the fact that Cam is a bad loser, yeah he sulks, but now he's shown the leadership that you know damn well that he will use that as motivation to go out next season and rip the league a new one

Cecil doesn't mince words with his sons and will definitely tell him like it is.  How Cam deals with it will ultimately be the difference in how he bounces back from this.

Gman will have some tough decisions to make real soon and I for one can't wait to get his take on the State of the Panthers.

I'm sure the sunday giveaways and TD celebrations will continue but I could see him being a bit more subdued next year

I hope we keep the dab to just this season's thing if I'm being honest. It was fun but it ran it's course and we have unfinished business.
