I am very aware you have an agenda against Gettleman, but this post is extremely flawed. The Panthers started this run over the last 3 years since Gettleman took over. He was not responsible for Mathis, Grant, and Poole. The only player he let walk was LaFell who went and signed with the most successful team in the league since 2000. If you thinkTyrone Poole was the reason a team won the Super Bowl, then you are lost on the subject of football. To compare players walking away from the Panthers 5 years ago to now is ridiculous. It is a completely different situation.

Also, your previous post about players not wanting to be in the same room at Gettleman is complete BS. But as usual you make a ridiculous claims and then ignore all follow up interactions.

Kevin Greene held out and left for the 49ers because of Gettleman.

Well the post you replied to had nothing to do with Gettleman. That post was about not being able to get a ring if they leave for the money. Those are facts. Not sure how you spin that into a Gettleman topic.

The odds are in favor of a former Panther getting a ring on another team next season instead of achieving it with the Panthers in 2016. Charles Johnson has a better shot at making more money by leaving and getting a ring with a contender of his choosing than staying on board with the Panthers and taking less money. I want the Panthers to get to and win the Super Bowl, but I am well aware of the probability of the Panthers being able to achieve that feat.

You mean like how Steve Smith was so much closer to getting a ring than any of his old teammates this season?

Or DeAngelo Williams perhaps?

I'm not really surprised to hear that they want to restructure or get Johnson to take a pay cut. They have Josh Norman wanting a big pay day, and potentially Short is going to get paid as well. Plus, we have a young DE in Ealy who they'll hope steps up after his Super Bowl performance, and a deep draft class to pick from, plus some free agents as well to look at, so in reality I think asking Johnson to take a cut is something he'll either consider because he wants to win with us, or turn down and leave.

What the team need to do is work out if his output last season was entirely down to being banged up, or whether there is any regression there. He'd be a loss, but there will be options in the draft and free agency to go that could have an impact.

Hard to ask a player to be loyal and respect the organization's best wishes when the organization has moved to a philosophy of not being loyal to players and respecting their best wishes. CJ needs to ask to be cut and get paid more by a team of his choosing for a better opportunity. He will get picked up in the first week of free agency. The team has made it clear how they perceive his value. It's not like the Panthers can not honor the last year of his contract if they valued him.

Such a shame that we're the only team that cuts veteran players.

Where do you get this BS from? Jordan Gross didn't have any problem doing what was best for the team. Just because 2 big personalities came out with issues doesn't mean the team isn't loyal or respect their players. You have an agenda and it is a joke.

We should treat Johnson with the same kind of respect other teams showed guys like Joe Montana, Emmitt Smith, Brett Favre and Jerry Rice!!!
