Just don't expect names like Weddle or Foster. Gettleman will sign a bunch of low 2nd/3rd tier guys that will add depth to our roster.

Although I would like to see him spend for a guy like Casey Hayward or Patrick Robinson

Casey Hayward intrigues me a lot. I think his asking price will be too high for Gentleman. Robinson would come cheaper. Boykin is another name is watch as a slot corner.

I think we will see a lot of value signings soon. Something is coming down the pipeline at DT. I wouldn't be surprised to see a TE brought in to compete with Dickson

Exactly. We need to understand that every day that goes by, the price drops for these free agents. Now that most of the top 100 FA are gone, we can go to work.

New NFLPA salary report now has all 68 salaries, but our cap space actually went up (likely an error correction) to $20,976,231. Less estimated rookie pool of $4,236,951 brings space to $16,739,280. Worth noting that any undrafted free agents (and there are normally several) would likely not count toward the top 51 salaries, save for small signing bonuses, and thus would have a very small impact on our cap space.

      Yes, he's a tier above them, but you also touched on the money side of it.  With T-Mac locked in as our #1 on a rookie contract for a few more years, I'd much rather use that money that would be needed for DJ on our defense and develop Coker into our #2.   Especially given his contract situation as an UDFA, as his contract is up at the end of this year but we can keep him around for a 3rd team controlled year on the real cheap.  Which means we probably could get him to sign a very reasonable extension this offseason to give him a little more money while giving us a bargain contract for what he provides. DJ's contract is north of $20 million for the next 5 years, why pay that for your #2 WR with the needs we have on defense and you have guys like Coker, XL, and Horn on rookie contracts who very well could combine to be a serviceable 2-4 WRs behind a stud in T-mac? I love DJ and he'd be a great fit on this team as our #2, but the money side of it just makes absolutely zero sense, that's all it comes down to for me on this one. And no, I don't see the Bears wanting XL back in that trade, because they drafted Burden, who is essentially a better version of what XL provides, a player you want to get the ball into their hands and let them go to work.

      I didnt see that many bad calls in the panthers cowboys game, but the chiefs especially in the playoffs were getting every single call they could get then the refs when it didnt matter would throw a call towards the other teams.  That I believe was the taylor swift effect.   But its crazy just thinking about how easy it is to change a game.  You dont need but a single ref to make a few close calls go towards one team over the other and in the nfl that is the game.

      I don't think it's unrealistically blaming Bryce Young......to say has been a reason, sometimes a big one, in why our pass offense overall has been extremely week over the past 3 collective seasons.  I think that bothering anyone, is just being overly invested in some Bryce Young argument.  It's just a reality.
