Martavis Bryant facing a year long ban

What is it with these talented wide receivers and substance abuse?

This kid has some serious issues according to his agent. You know, I sometimes think about whether we passed on these guys because someone actually knew they were ticking time bombs.

Always sad to see talented players wasting their opportunities, though if he is dealing with depression then it makes sense that he might struggle to overcome any issues he may have.

He's a loss to their team if he's out a year, but with Brown, Wheaton, Coates, Heyward-Bey at receiver; their new TE Ladarius Green; and their backs Bell and Williams; they have more than enough talent to be prolific even if Bryant is out.

Yeah their offense is still stacked without him. Though I think with him as well and assuming no one got injured next season they'd be very hard to stop in 3+ receiver sets with Ladarius Green coming in too.

Don't be sleepin on the Steelers they made it to the divisional round with no LeVeon no Deangelo,  a beat on Ben Rothlisburger, no Antonio Brown for the divisional game against Denver, and a not very good defense, and they only lost by 1 score... I think if they somehow manage to make their defense at least average or even a little above average they are AFC Championship Game contenders for 2016 season.

Getting high is awesome though and when you are a pro athlete imagine calling up for pounds of the best bud on earth I'd smoke all day if I was a pro athlete, and not get caught

I'm pretty sure plenty of other guys thought the same thing.

(specifically, guys who blew their shot at being set for life because they couldn't lay off the drugs)

Damn, Tavis. I would say he should be able to leave the weed alone, but if he's going through depression and other mental issues, it might be hard for him. Won't call him names or anything, because I do have compassion for folks when they mess up. Hope he gets the help he needs

    • For a 3rd year QB? That flies with the Teppers and makes the HC and GM look like fools.  Their fear is evident. Their careers are tied to making it work, it's ehy they signed on here and they are professionals who knows what kind of a situation they could potentially have on their hands if they are not calculating about popping up Bryce. I call BS to that sir. It's why every QB after Bryce couldn't make any other rosters past a PS spot...at best
    • Not just Dalton.   But the only real young arm they would let be seen the past 2 years was a really a bad Jack Plummer.  Who was super weak even for that tier  Can’t convince me how weak they made the atmosphere around Young hasn’t been intentional.
    • Things of note: mentions he has six drops. Six. For all the people that don’t know what a drop is, he has six. That’s a long distance from the league leader at ten. (To be fair, pro football reference has him at seven, still not bad.  Plenty of others is that same range.  His drop % is 6.3, which is low.) Catchable ball success ratio: 83% which is great. Catchable being the key word.  Mentions his contested catch rate is low at 5/18 but that’ll get better I think when he can rely on muscle memory for routes, catches, etc and the game slows down for him
