I'm almost willing to guarantee Harlan Miller will be a Panther

This guy has Panthers CB written all over him.  We love our mid-round small school CBs with ideal height/length and great instincts, but pedestrian athleticism measurables.  Harlan Miller is that guy in this draft.  Norman and Benwikire were both 5th rounders.  Miller in the 5th?

Hes a hot name currently. If the panthers want him, they will have to use their 3rd, maybe 2nd..... I got him as a early 3rd, All teams need CBs and come draft time they always go early than predicted.

Norman was a hot name too who was supposed to be long gone before the 5th.  A lot of teams get really leery when a CB runs 4.6+.

Artie Burns. Not guaranteeing anything but if he's a Panther a week from today, we're going to have no issues at corner.

Not sure we are going to sign any FA until after the 12th. We are ahead in the comp race. If we sign a FA we could lose out on the comp for Josh.

Pedestrian is a huge compliment to his athletic ability lol

It does seem like there is a pretty good chance we draft him but I hope he's a film nut with great instincts. He's gonna need it at the next level. I've heard his tape is really, really good(haven't watched it personally) but it may be that he's able to get by with his athletic limitations against FCS players and that won't cut it against NFL athletes.

He's a corner out of Miami, not a free agent.

I believe burns will go 1st, nearly 98% chance. Some of tape shows he is #2 overall CB in this draft. I

His measurables stack up almost identical to Norman's.  It's why Norman was available in the 5th and why Miller probably will be too.

His performance at the Senior Bowl with other top college prospects was raved about.

Wat.

If you don't lose more FAs than you sign, you don't get any comp picks. So far we have lost 3, and signed 2. So we are eligible for a comp pick for Josh. Probably a high 3rd. And the cut off for this is May 12th. At least I think it is May 12th.

I knew that. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I don't remember the buzz around Norman. This was before the current rage of long armed CBs, plus Norman was oldddd compared to others. We'll see.

I'd take him in the 1st. He's the best DB in the draft outside of Ramsey, in my eyes. I don't anticipate him going in the 1st though. Most have him ranked as a 2-3rd rounder. I would bet on early-mid 2nd. If he fell to us at 62 I'd be ecstatic.

RIght, but it is a little more complex than just that.

My 'Wat' was on the notion that Artie Burns was a free agent that we could potentially sign,
