NFL putting Classic games on youtube

Couldn't see this being discussed.

The NFL is going to upload 3 classic games for each franchise to YouTube (Red probably) and they're letting fans vote on which by giving people 5 games to choose from on the teams' Facebook pages.

If you have Facebook PLEASE go here and vote for the '96 Divisional Playoff Win in Dallas & the '95 Win over the Jets (our first ever) which are both dead last behind the 2013 MNF win over the Patriots.

Recency bias sucks and I would love to be able to watch Sam Mills in something other than a highlight package.

No question our double OT win over the Rams in 2004 should be up there.

I would really like to watch this one in full.  Feel it's a key bit of Panthers' lore / history I'd like to see for myself.

Unfortunately, I'm not on facebook, so can't vote.

anything from 2009-on shouldn't be an option because you can get those games on gamepass right now in HD

the games i want to see again are the ones that only exist in the NFL's archives or on VHS tapes in a milk crate in a panthers fan's basement.  like week two 2005 against the pats.  that's one of the most important regular season games of the john fox era and you can't find it anywhere.

Not to mention they have said the games released will have extra footage / commentating / features of some sort.

Edit: Hopefully they learnt from SB1 and don't have a room of idiots talking over the games...

it's been on and off youtube.  i downloaded it the last time i saw it.

one trick i use is to go to youtube and search "panthers" but sort by upload date or filter it to "this week" or "this month".  you can find some of this stuff that way before the copyright trolls nab it.

like this was uploaded two days ago and barely has any views

that was handled so poorly.

"hmmm, well one of the main things the fans complain about is how much they loathe our TV color commentary and play by play guys.  hey, i know, let's split-screen a classic game and have running commentary on everything that happens.  they'll love that".

Wasn't that the same year as the Falcons game where we stopped Vick on 4th and one at home. Also the Dallas screw job on Christmas Eve?

    • Lol. The Texans are literally one of Bryce's six career NFL wins. WTF are you talking about?
    • Yeah, I mean it is a statistical fact and also part of literally a player evaluation. Winston has literally lost dozens of games in his NFL career due to crippling TO's. It's just who he is. Look, it's fun when those insane throws work and he is leading you back from some crazy deficit. But those success are rare. It's why his career GWD count is so low. He's fun but he is fundamentally built to lose games.  If you are talking about a backup QB, you are literally already losing in the first place. That's how you see a backup QB and that's overwhelmingly what they tend to do. Rookie QB's almost always benefit from veteran QB's. Same as literally any other position in the NFL. Why do you think that you so often hear that from the playera themselves? As for Bryce NEEDING one, no he sure as poo shouldn't this late in the game. But he also shouldn't have needed this fuging long to get his fuging footwork straightened out either. Yet here we are.
    • Comfortability is the primary reason. They don't want to hurt Bryce's confidence. But I say if his confidence is that fragile that healthy competition which makes everyone better is enough for them to keep making Andy Dalton rich then Bryce was never going to be the guy anyway. Give me the QB who sees the competition amongst his peers and uses it to take it to the next level. Instead we get the guy who comes out looking like a deer in the headlights against the Texans after we've done everything possible to appease him. Definition of complacency.
