lol, JP getting paid $300,000/tackle so far.

Richard Marshall is making $750,000 for the entire year.

No wonder our D is out of sync, how would you feel if you only get 5% of what Peppers is making but get way more production then him?Next year they need to let Peppers go trade or no trade, unless of course he decides he wants to stay and take a huge pay cut!

One can't blame Peppers for wanting to get paid. There were lots of years when Peppers outperformed his own salary by a long shot. During that time he became a fan favorite.

Unfortunately for all parties involved, Peppers has now reached the part of an elite career where the salary the player commands exceeds his level of play, which forces franchises into financially unsustainable conditions. History shows players that reach this set of circumstances will typically switch teams, often more than once, before their salary is in line with their play-making.

Putting Peppers on notice is probably accurate, even if not for the reasons provided. It would be a collossal failure to franchise Peppers again in 2010, we know that much.

JPs stats on the season:

7 tackles 6 solo 1 assist 1 sack 1 caused fumble

That's what 2 million dollars buys you these days?

Thanks for making this post that everyone conveniently is ignoring cause it contradicts their opinion. Plus other things that arent on the stat sheet.

Why isn't anyone bringing up Gamble's contract?

I still say to this day it was a dumb move to tag him. We should have just cut ties. Yea we lose one player but we would have been able to add a role player here and there. Still Im not the GM and Im not Fox. Fox dose not like letting talent get away. He is like Al Davis in that.

So for those defending Pep.

What should a weekly stat line look like?

From Richard Seymour in week 1 after spending a WEEKEND with the Raiders has a huge game. In other words, he got to the qb.

Dude from the Bengals. Bengals!!. Got to Rodgers.

Pep is talented AND indifferent. That's a coach killer right there.

Look at the # of Cowboys yest that either tipped the ball or got hurries.

And someone mentioned Gamble not being mentioned.

Well start a thread on it because he is as useful as a phone with a cord nowadays.

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
