Keep in mind there's a lot of "ifs" here.

As to why McCree? Is he that good? No, and he's old, but he's more in the mold of Harris than Teal is, and quite possibly better even at this point. Teal is a special teamer.

If Harris is going to be back in a few weeks, I'd take mcCree as a temporary replacement over Teal.

If Harris is out long term, we're likely screwed regardless. At that point it becomes a tough call, but I'd likely still choose McCree. At least he can intimidate.

I'd rather get Lynch outta broadcast retirement than McCree out of the FA. McCree was known for a good/hard hit every 3 or so games.

If I were being brutal, I'd put it this way:

Harris could hit, but couldn't cover.

McCree can hit, but can't cover.

I've yet to see proof that Teal can do either one effectively :sosp:
