Ron Rivera, Head Coach and Leader Extraordinaire

@KB_fan made an excellent point here:

And much like my previous post, found below, Ron Rivera has been a key figure in the BIGGEST non-story for this season:  No distractions.

I, like many, had my doubts as Rivera molded his team.  But those fears and uncertainties dissipated year-by-year, vanishing completely with a 15-1 love affair.

Welp, Coach has once again proven his mettle.  Small market be damned, Charlotte (read:  HB2), Carolina Panthers, and Cam Newton have been ad revenue-generating off-season headlines, with national outlets from all arenas watching our every move.  Following the Thursday Night Football shafting, the headlines have only grown.  Meanwhile, the locker room remains as buttoned up as ever, white noise machine and gentle coughs included.

Coach has one goal:  win Super Bowl 51.  And it started the second after he lost Super Bowl 50.  From there, his job responsibilities have only grown.  Coach stands stout in the eye of the storm, a weathered veteran of NFL failure and success.  If what we're after is longterm dominance, then rejoice in the fact that we have the ingredients, the soup is just stewing.

Don't fug with Coach.

Brighter days ahead, my friends.

Good points. Just like Cam. No distractions or set backs will throw Cam as well as Ron or rest of the team off. Their only and sole focus is winning SB 51. Nothing less is accepted. This team is about to rip a new one. We do not accept defeat. If anyone doubts that if Cam gets hit like that again, the other team is going to get punched in the face and Ron is going to get into Refs for their bias nature did not watch the reaction closely by this team. This team just got a wake up call that respect is not given to the Panthers and will never be, well NFL welcome to the awaken sleepy giant.

    • I agree with OP notion, QBs always get credited for game winning drives even if they do minimal. Just last night Caleb got credited for a GE drive when they basically ran the ball the whole drive and only had to go 36 yards.   And there are drives where Bryce could of had a game winning drive if not for a Legette drop vs Philly or a Chubba fumble vs Tampa
    • You are actually, genuinely comparing Bryce to Jimmy fuging Pickles? Jimmy accounted for 3 touchdowns in his 10 starts in 2010. In Bryce’s 10 games post benching last year, he accounted for 20 touchdowns. Jimmy threw three touchdowns in 2010. Three. Bryce has thrown 10 touchdowns through 6 games. He is currently on track to throw for 3300 yards, 28 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Wtf are we even talking about anymore. I mean seriously
    • Tepper? The guy that directs the coaches towards goals that he set for them… that guy. He is the one.    I don’t think he ever was going to be expelled from class, they had him come in for garbage time maybe the 2nd week he was benched.  I will say this. People said he wasn’t under pressure the last part of the year when he did better, but he was fighting for his career and that’s pressure. And he saved his career too. I don’t reject him for those kinds of things I reject him for the physical things. I have always brought it down to he has slim margin for error and has to be perfect. People with the tool set have a little fatter margin for error. Why make it harder on yourself? Got nothing to do with hating him.  I am no statistician but game that margin thing out a lot and see how that works.
