Yeah, if the corresponding move was a guy off the PS like Ball you'd think it would have already been made. It does suggest we're looking at our options outside the building. Doesn't mean we won't eventually sign someone off the PS if we don't find anything we like.

Possible we are considering a trade to bring a safety that would start over Tre since he has been extremely shaky so far. No clue who is out there to be honest but it wouldn't surprise if Gettleman made a move like he did for Jared Allen last year.

Don't think we would look to replace Boston right away, yes he's had some struggles but it's only week 2 and you'd have to bring in someone that was already familiar with our defense especially since our safety positions are interchangeable on any given play. Bringing a pass rusher in is a little different, much simpler job mentally. 

I could see us bringing Stevie Brown back or signing Dante Whitner (if his price has come down) for depth.

Issue is a safety would have alot more playbook to take in than a DE i would think.  So if we did, i wouldnt look for them to make any kind of quick impact.

Not really that complicated. Just has to know which coverage he's supposed to be in of which there aren't really that many. Luke could just tell him or have the DB coach signal it to him every time. We are in cover 2, 3 or 4 like 90% of the time anyway with a tiny bit of cover 1 and cover 6 thrown in then there's the one FS blitz.
