Realistically what can the team do right now?

Team has to decide to win. That's top to bottom. Our coach just as much as our players have rested on the work of last year. Need to change things up big time.

So trade a 1st or 2nd for Joe Thomas and that solves 1 problem. Defense is still terrible. You want to trade for a DE, CB and S as well? We'd have to trade basically our whole draft and we've already given up a 4th for punter. It's not worth it.

Get Cam healthy and draft a fuging O-line next year. When Cam comes back every pass play should be shorter than 15 yards so Cam is forced to look underneath for opportunities.

We can wring our hands and stomp up and down on the World Market rug but that  isn't accomplishing anything. 

Adjustments have to be made and lots of work on both sides of the ball so what can the team do to get better?

At this point it's either make a trade or just shuffle the deck you have.

We stink, just gonna have to take our lumps this year.

The defense played horrible yesterday, but that's one game. Our offense has been bad 2-4 out of the games. That's not counting the Denver game which I thought we played decent.

 

Gettleman needs to worry about the offense. Focusing on defense is what lost us the SB.

I agree.  But I will say that this team's biggest problems are not personnel problems.  We have one of the more stacked rosters in the league.  Right now we have attitude issues, the coaching has been doodoo, and the injuries are mounting in a big way.  Trading away draft picks isn't gonna do much of poo to fix what is going on.
