DB change

Heading into the Atlanta game I commented about how our secondary issues were yet to be exposed because Denver, SF, and Minny all featured check down QBs that weren't going to expose our youth and scheme that encouraged exactly what they preferred their QBs to do anyway. Then we faced our first vertical attacking QB in Atlanta.

Now, no suggestion is going to magically fix anything.  But all preseason it was pretty evident that Worley was the worst rookie of the trio. Worse than Sanchez who is on the practice squad.  Worley played 88% of the defensive reps and the highest percentage of any DB.  And we wonder why the meltdown occurred.

There frankly is no excuse for Worley playing the highest percentage of snaps.  None.  Bradberry injury doesn't excuse that.  I still endorse Sanchez getting a spot.  We already are playing Bene on the outside.  I'd rather Sanchez get some exposure.  Find a way.

Julio is good. Give credit where credit is due. When he's on his game and he's hot, he's burning everybody. We still got outplayed, out coached, embarrassed and the secondary got exposed. We knew that was a weak spot though and knew it was only a matter of time.

Min runs a Coryell offense so that's not true. Atl just has probably the best WR in the NFL who even can burn the Saint Josh Norman and has before

In the TWO meetings combined last year Norman surrendered 9 catches for 113 yards and ZERO touchdowns against Julio.

I assume you're not very good at math so let me help you...

Thats 3 LESS catches, 187 LESS yards and 1 LESS touchdown than Julio had in just ONE game against us this year.

9 catches for 113 and 0 scores in 2 games isn't exactly "burning" someone but nice try.

To be honest though in 2 games vs us last year Julio Jones had 266 yards rec and 1 TD.  Just saying....  Josh can't be everywhere.

What Julio does when Josh isn't lined up across from him isn't Josh' problem.

Josh only goes where the coaches tell him to go.

Here you go...

Benwikere surrendered 228 of the 300 receiving yards Jones amassed in the game from eight catches, including Jones’ 75-yard catch and run. Benwikere also allowed a touchdown to Aldrick Robinson, and even two passes defensed couldn’t save him from yielding a perfect passer rating of 158.3 when targeted.

RIght, and what I am saying was 300 yards was against multiple DB's so don't compare Josh's stats to everywhere Julio went.  If you want to make a fair argument compare the 9 for 113 to 1 DB who was on Julio.

The guy above had said Julio had "burnt" Norman before which wasn't true.

We're talking Julio vs Norman here that's it.

I heard the same type of stuff all over the place about the Norman/Odell match up last year. "Beckham destroyed Norman" "Beckham torched Norman". Yea he destroyed him to the tune of like 3 catches for 30 yards. People are morons.

Bene got lit up. About damn near gave up 300 yards on his own. Big Play, alright. "Give up the big play" Bene.

Gambling on Bene and the rookie CB's was a huge mistake. Ron said in a preseason game to the players he'd let you go if he felt you were going to hurt this team. The entire secondary should be worried.

Yikes.
