Steve Smith and Norman both hurt in the same game.

Nah. It's more fun to just sit back and watch you get all pissed off and thump your chest as if your opinion actually mattered to anybody (you and NCTarheel are both good for that) :)

It's odd to see the half-dozen or so on here who get so much joy out of the team they supposedly cheer for losing games.

If wallowing in misery is your thing, it's your right to be that way of course, but it sure does make you a sh--ty "fan".

Maybe you guys would be happier if you found a team you actually wanted to cheer for.

does it not get embarrassing being called out routinely for juvenile non-insults?

I mean clearly you don't but your desperate attempts to hurt somebody's feelings with Beaver's Best Burns along with sprinkling some girly emoji's in is like watching a kid squirm after being caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

" oh no the World's Worst commenter and his ongoing crusade against logical cogitation has said I make him mad when I post! gee willikers batman!"

Can't believe 3 years later and we're still arguing we're a better team without smith, which is false but hey keep at it

look at our record with steve smith

then look at our record without him

then look at his numbers with the ravens

then compare that number to his replacement

run these numbers and i expect you will change your mind.

Cam would not be the league MVP with Steve Smith owning the Panthers' locker room.

Other than this likely being sensationalist and completely hypothetical, it also only means that this would be nobody's fault but Cam's. If we drafted a QB who can't lead a team in his 5th and 6th year, then we drafted the wrong player. That's what you're suggesting.

While we're operating under these hypotheticals, let's point out that its equally likely that Cam Newton has a super bowl MVP (or a ring at the very least) if he has steve Smith on his team last year.

Why would anyone ever compare team records to determine how good a player is?  He's one of 53.

Personally, I think that from a talent standpoint we would have been better with Smith.  However, I have no insight into how well the chemistry would have been, and given that we went 15-1 last year I don't see how anyone can question the results.

Hope Smitty is ok, he's a great player and I really appreciate him for what he did while he was a Panther.

You misunderstand, Steve Smith is only to blame if you lose.
