SOOO Is it to early to openly root to lose

This team needs another superstar/game changer on defense. It just does. Look at the Broncos or the Vikings. Their defense is STACKED. No one is afraid of the Vikings offense but their defense might take them to the Super Bowl, the way they're playing. I'm a little jealous.

You can't name a single Vikings defender without looking it up much less their best players at each level....soooo....lol with that superstar poo they have no names as far as national stars go. I agree they are very good and I called that loss and that sick defense they had before we played them but they aren't stacked with stars and don't have anyone nearly as good as Luke.

^ Xavier Rhodes is like the best corner in the league, who cares if none of the talking heads ever mentions him... speaking of which, he's scheduled to be a free agent. Vikings will probably tag him, but if he reaches the market I would love to target him. He can go toe-to-toe with Julio, Evans, everyone else we deal with in this division.

It depends on the situation are in .....................after a run of 4 SB wins in the 70's the Steelers were mired in a funk in the early 80's and were one game from getting a top draft pick that they won..............

If they would have lost that game they would have gotten the top draft pick.......................who was that?

Dan Marino..........

What would have been the 80's with him playing there instead of a decade of no name QBs.........

Totally disagree. All we are promised is today, so I want to see my team win as many games as they can. Winning those 5 "meaningless games" will be 5 joyful Sundays where I'll not be in a bad mood for the next week. I'll take them! I love to win.
Also, I don't trust Gettleman to capitalize on a top draft pick.

I agree. Monday's at work after a loss is one terrible me.

I know some of you look down on this, but I'd rather have a great draft pick than reel off 4-5 meaningless wins at the end of the year, as is common under this regime.

If you're a fan of a team, it's ALWAYS too early to root for that team to lose. ALWAYS. But, that's how I roll.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
