They took a couple jabs at Dave, saying that if you know your corners are going to struggle early then you better make sure your front 7 is squared away... something Dave didn't do.

I have said this multiple times, it's not just on Dave concerning the pass rush. He and the coaches work together throughout the offseason, and I'm sure a big part of not bringing in help was the coaches being comfortable with what they had. They (for some reason) believed in Delaire, thought Cox or Miley could step up and be a rotational player, probably thought Kony was going to take the next step and were very dependent on Short being dominant once again since he has another year in their system.

Its okay guys.  Give him time.  We'll be better next year!  Its a marathon, not a sprint!  Theres always next year!  Yes, theyre in the business of winning, but everybody cant be the best huck huck!

I hear ya... the part that bugs me is after letting Norman walk the Panthers end up going into the season almost 20 million under the cap!!  Whatever other plans Gettleman had for that money did not pan out and in hindsight with all that money they could have had Josh here for at least one more year under the franchise tag and be in the same financial situation next off season with all the money to spend.  If Josh held out, then the team is where they are now anyway.  Not saying he was the be all and there are not other holes on this team, but overall the team has suffered ... AND so have the fans.

Exactly, but let them tell it...  Gettleman is completely rational and never operates out of emotion or ego...  Strictly business.

As i stated elsewhere, look how the Seahawks handled all their star players when their contracts came up...  and it was a ton of them - Kam, Wagner, Lynch, Sherman, Thomas, Baldwin, Wilson, etc.  And those were seemingly in consecutive years...  And yet, every single one of those guys is still on their roster, and they are still a dominant force in the NFC.  See, other WINNING organizations value the ALL of the talent they draft and develop themselves and do everything they can to keep them.  WE DON'T.

Another thing people are ignoring in this conversation is, if Gettleman was as smart as his fanboys claim he is...  if he was all business.  Why did he not attempt to re-sign Norman to an extension following the '14 season prior to '15.  He had already shown as much, if not more, than Coleman did in his one year here...  A guy like Coleman gets an extension benefitting from great players around him, Norman is a reason for many of the others' success and is ignored until his value skyrockets and then he is essentially told to leave.

But, it's Ron's fault.  It's Shula's fault (despite still having one of the top ranked offenses).  It's the pass rush.  It's the flavor gatorade their drinking.  It's anything but Gettleman.

Dave f*cked up and you can't deny that. You don't let good, solid players go and replace them with garbage or with inexperience. This happens when you go the cheap route. You get what you pay for. He paid for great value but wants name brand. He f*cked up. Has nothing to do with being a Gettleman hater. It's time out for people making excuses for him. We are 1-5. Dave is not safe from blame. He has a lot to do with this fugery.

Honestly it seems getting that far scared gettleman he didn't anticipate it the Super Bowl supersede his plans for the year and he didn't go off course this year because he's old and stubborn set in his ways if he goes out and spends next year people will get mad and say why didn't he do that in 2016 but it will be because he planned it ei all the cap room available now yes some is to resign certain players but I guarantee most is being rolled into what will be available next to get who or what he wants
