Star gets doubled more on run plays. KK gets doubled more on pass plays. KK was doubled 24 times when he was rushing the passer against the Saints. Every DE rushing Brees did not exceed 10 double teams in total.

There were drives the Saints never doubled Star on a pass. Whenever the Saints were pinned at the goal line, they doubled KK and challenged Star to beat his man one on one. Star could not even move Brees off his spot in the passing game.

The one time they singled KK with their backs to the end zone, he had the OL in Brees' lap and forced Brees to throw the ball away.

Jared Allen was able to take pressure off of KK on passing downs last season, and he was so good at running his stunts. Allen consistently pulled his OL around KK and immediately engaged KK's blocker from the inside gap allowing KK to get the edge. Ealy sucks at running stunts and CJ is too slow now. Ealy just steps behind KK and watches the QB - not even an effort to push the inside gap.
