I agree!!!! It seems like every article I read now injuries are mentioned like 100x's. Its injuries on the defense, its injuries on special teams..... it injuries during training camp and preason....... :beatdeadhorse5:

If the Panthers continue to play poorly and if Fox is given another pass cause of injuries I will be pissed.

Thank god we are back on track. I understand that injuries trickle down to every part of the team including special teams but this is getting ridiculous. Even Fox made the comment last week that injuries have "set this team back". Really? Is that the reason we lost against the Cardinals? Is that the reason the offensive line played badly in week 1 (bc no one has been injured there)? And is that why we ran a flea flicker when we were in scoring position last week? No Fox, you have been out coached three straight games, thats the reason we lost. I hope he turns it around quickly, I would love to go into the bye 1-2.

So we arent going to talk about injuries? This is the How to Use Spell check thread? What about Hoov, Stew and Goodson not or limited in practice? But we need to run, right? So we got DWill and Fiametta to carry the load Monday? Fiametta has a red line underneath it, can somebody tell me what that means? Anybody? Bueller?

I was certain we were going to draft a DT, or bring in a big FA DT to rush the QB. If not, then I thought at the least we would bring in a run stuffing DT to back up Kemo, and you could always plug in the run stuffer if Lewis went down. I mean it's not like Lewis provides any pass rush to begin with. Playing cover-2 requires above average DTs, the better the DTs, the better the cover-2 will work. Our DTs are weak, so our cover-2 is weak.

Stewart hasn't practiced much all season so that's not an issue. I think Hoover will fight through his injury as well. And Goodson returns kicks and thats pretty much it so no biggie there either. And I have NO idea what you are talking about with the red line, maybe you could link it or something.

lol red line means a word isn't in your spell check dictionary.

Spell check on this board is in the upper right corner when you are answering a post. Right above the smilies and I know you know where those are.

Am I being anal? Maybe. Sorry. lol god i am tired.

:gnorsi:

did someone say anal?

    • Trying to do anything I got to?  I don't like the way he says that. I want him to work out, but the more I learn about him, the more he seems to just not have that elite mindset.  Would love to be proven wrong. On the last highlights from camp I watched, he still wasn't tucking the ball correctly to run.  He adjusted, but I want that type of thing to be automatic, not something he has to think about.
    • Which is all I was saying from the get.
    • The bad thing is that Xavier Legette kind of ignored the Jugs machine his rookie season. The good thing is that he's committed to it now. Catching is important to an NFL receiver (sarcasm), but, perhaps just as important is a receiver's---any player's---mindset.  "This offseason, the young wideout has gotten back to something in terms of preparation (Jugs machine). 'Oh man, it’s always been something I’ve done, and I don’t know why, but I felt like I could take a little breath,' explained Legette (via Darin Gantt of Panthers.com). 'And when you’re playing in this game, you can never do that. It’s always a way to get better, and that’s one of the ways to help with catching. For sure, for sure. In my mind, I’m thinking about ways, things I can do. What can I do to have less drops this coming season in Year 2? 'The whole mindset has changed, man,' added Legette. 'Trying to do anything I got to. I’m sacrificing a lot of things that I used to do outside of the building to put my work inside the building.'" https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/xavier-legette-focused-on-reducing-drops-that-plagued-rookie-year-with-panthers-01k1692c0tz9 So, yeah, it wasn't good coming in taking some things for granted, but Legette is young. His mentality appears to have changed and he appears to be maturing and he's been putting in a lot of work by all accounts.  I know some of you are down on him, but I still have faith. Last season was a disjointed mess in its entirety, but there were still some flashes, particularly with route running. With Legette's seemingly better fit as the WR2, mindset and focus---doing his actual job catching the ball---he should be able to improve. Lastly, I'd like to add, props to Legette for being so open about the need to improve and change his mindset. Some guys wouldn't necessarily admit that publicly. If nothing else, he's honest and down-to-earth.
