Ron knows he's lost the team.. I hate I because Ron is a really good guy and has been through a lot the past few years. He's really put his time in a bad situation this year. Ill never dislike Ron but we may have to look for a fresh start while we still have all the talent on the roster that we have

Agreed, but this one is on him. He didn't lose the team until he publicly disciplined his QB for a minor and arguable infraction in an obvious attempt at a power play move. He didn't have to do that. So, fug Ron. He made his bed, time to lie in it.

Like the fact that Seattle's OL could basically tackle our guys and still not get a holding call tonight?

Their basketball player LT was holding like it was his job. He had no clue how to block without holding. Collinsworth clearly laid that out in his analysis without pointing out the obvious. I mean, you know when he's using Remmers as a juxtaposition as to how to properly block, you're doing a lot of things wrong.

He wasn't alone.

I know some level of holding goes on all the time, but I saw so many blatant examples tonight it was just depressing.

We'll never know it's all speculation. Although I noticed Charles Johnson didn't really have much steam on that hurt leg during the play. Also the effort seemed lackluster. It seemed like Kuechly really wanted to put on a helmet and go out there and fug poo up. It's fun to think about though, Rivera's face says it all. Lost and confused, that cannot be denied.

Let's be fair, Rivera's facial expression has always screamed "lost and confused". That's nothing new and I'm not sure that it ever really even mattered. Facial expressions are just that, facial expressions. Not sure how much can ever truly be read into that.

Effort? Yeah, there was a clear difference tonight. This was the first game this season when the team clearly quit and didn't give a fug about the outcome. Truth be told, it seemed that way from the opening kickoff.

I wonder why?

Everyone thought Ron was the greatest guy on earth last year. I get not being a fan of decisions but I can't stand the way this community turns on its team. people want Ron to stand up for Newton but at the same time they will switch direction  on a player at the drop of a hat. There are what? 4 players that are above reproach and the entire rest of the organization means nothing to fans.

I'd agree with whats been said so far that when it first happened, it certainly seemed as if Luke Kuechly was going off on Ron Rivera.

After watching further into the game though, I'm not dead certain that what we saw was actually Luke taking Ron to task.

NBC showed a clip of Luke talking to a ref about something that happened on that long TD on the prior play.  Didn't appear he was satisfied with the answer they gave him.

It's possible, then, that he was just heatedly relating what happened in that conversation to Rivera rather than talking at him.

Plus, to be honest with you, yelling at a coach - especially the head coach - on the sideline just doesn't seem to fit in Luke's character.  Teammate?  Sure.  Coach?  Eeeehhh...

Now, is it also possible that Luke was indeed pissed at Rivera?  Yeah it is, but I'd really need to see more of the actual footage of that (couldn't find video online anywhere) hear some further info from the parties involved or at least talk to someone who's a better lip reader than I am to say with more certainty.

Regardless of the true character of the discussion, I'd have to agree with one thing others have said.  Specifically, that Rivera's stoic reaction was kind of annoying and did a lot to summarize how the whole game played out on our part.

So on this topic, info, video, or speculation...Fire away.

He was yelling at Rivera about how Dave Gettleman fuged this up and wanted to put a foot up his ass. :)

Like getting rid of Gettleman,Shula and some of the players?

Luke was yelling about something happening on the field...  probably a missed call by the ref imo, or less likely a missed assignment by a player.

What pisses me off, is that you never, ever see any emotion from RR at all.  I get it that his idea is to stay steady or whatever, but he's proven this year that he's not going to publicly stand up for the players and I don't like that one bit.

I still think Ron's the greatest guy on earth. He and his family are great people.

But as a head coach, I gave up on him in 2014. Last year was a surprise and I was ready to get on board again, but  this season has destroyed all of that.

Ron is an average coach who had two good years being propped up by superior talent. A defensive mvp one season and an offensive mvp another, outside of that he has been terrible especially in the first half of the season. He may be a great guy but he isn't a great head coach and this organization needs to recognize that and move on.
