James Anderson rising star.

While i hate that a player is hurt, im glad Anderson finally gets his chance. He came in the middle of the game on Sunday, but i think we all loved what we saw out of Anderson in the preseason. He flies to the ball, and had big play ability.

Im unsure about Tony Fiametta. Quintin Teal has been unimpressive.

Fiametta has some talent and Teal has been decent. I feel that Godfrey has stepped up and played solid though.

And I would start Anderson over Diggs any day. I wish that we could trade our problem at DT for some strength at LB. Anderson and Connor will be eventual starters somewhere. I believe for Anderson, it will be in Carolina.

I agree with you on Anderson, he's come into his own this year. Fiametta looks like he is blocking pretty well but not the softest of hands. Teal looks slow to react and just plain lost. I thought Beason would dominate this year however Thomas Davis and Anderson seem to be making far more plays, Beason has struggled with shedding blockers and wrapping up on tackles. Sure hope he shows up Monday night, seems like knows he needs to step up.

 you are talking about the Charles Godfrey that plays for the Panthers or another Charles Godfrey that we haven't heard about?

when did Anderson come into his own?..Beason is undersized..so he will always have problems shedding blocks..thats why a huge NT is a must for him

Anderson has 7 tkls in limited play and Beason has 10, Before Diggs was hurt he had 3. The numbers dont lie, I dont know seems like #50 is always around the ball. Not having a Nose Tackle has nothing to do with "shedding" a block, something he was doing well last year.

:icon_bs:..a Undersized LB needs a NT..he makes Beason game better in everway.

    • First, am I wrong? I looked back over all his posts here and I didn't see anything positive other than Shough. Second, pretty sure if you had read the post I was responding to, you would have seen CRA made poo personal as well . You just choose to address me instead of him. Not sure why?????
    • I wanted XL but I felt he should have been a 2nd rounder but I understand the logic trading up just to get the option. A safety net for your gamble.    Certainly disappointed with his receivers development but i like his down field blocking and I imagine that's what's keeping him on the field.
    • Pretty sure it is a given Young lacks typical QB size and strength and he is here simply because his other attributes more than make up for it. My point is not to indicate anyone "settled" for him but rather to remind people that there have been plenty of big, strong QB's that have not lived up to expectations. Jamis Winston, Anthony Richardson, Trey Lance, JaMarcus Russel are a few examples. They all have the physical attributes coveted by teams and yet none have had sustained success in the NFL. And yes, there are QBs that do have both but there aren't many and some of the ones still playing were failures with their early teams. Saying Young is a bust simply based upon his size (and I do think it is as simple as that for a few guys around here) is unfair to both him and the team.
