This needs to be the game that forces Rivera/DG's hand

Keep on saying it

One day you might be right. Even a broken clock is right 2 times in a 24 hour period.

I love glossing over the fact that you were complaining when we were 15-1 and had the best offense in the league. Admitting that just suggests your opinion won't change no matter what happens which negates the whole reason to consider your opinion to begin with. Regardless of the facts you hold on to the same opinion

Bless your heart

I also stated the Panthers would never win a Super Bowl with Shula and Rivera

i'd say I'm more correct than any thing you have ever posted

You have a nice holiday season

So they came close and  given time might will win one assuming Gettleman gives them the players they need. Since you said never, the only way you will be right is when Rivera and Shula leave and it hasn't happened. Since we have never won one in our history, that is hardly an earth shattering prediction or proof you are correct.

I don't need to justify or prove anything to you

Where Mike Shula is concerned 'past is prelude'.

That is my observation based on 5 years  if it's not yours, good fit you.

So surly on Christmas Eve. Have a good holiday and lighten up some. It is only a message board for goodness sakes.

If this was a team that cared about winning then Shula would be fired by now.

Yeah because most winning teams fire their head coach and OC who have actually had the most winning record of any coach in our history.  Our record with Shula as OC is 35-21-1 if we lose next week. Hard to see how you build a winning tradition by firing a coach with a winning record especially when the offense isn't why we are losing games.

I'm sorry but you are being so delusional about this, just because Shula has a winning record doesn't mean he's a good coach. Our offense is slow as heck and doesn't match our personnel. Looks like we are playing 60's football. Only reason he is 35-21-1 is because of the raw talent we have on this team, bring in a capable coordinator and it would be a lot better than that. And what is this "winning tradition" you speak of that you think we have here. Rivera has more losing seasons than winning ones and isn't capable of starting a season strong despite last year. Even though I believe we should fire Rivera I understand that is asking for too much and won't happen but Shula definetely needs to go. Especially when you go from 15-1 and super bowl to this poo of a season we're having with basically all the same pieces on offense plus KB. Frustrates me how our organization is so complacent with this mediocraty, its disgusting.

That is surely your opinion and you are welcome to it but because I disagree That hardly makes me delusional. To see what happened in terms of injury and changes in personnel on the offensive line for example and dismiss that to blame Shula ignores the elephant in the room. You can only be as creative as your personnel allows you. You can't get very complicated when your line changes each week and you have no chemistry and confidence in each other.

To focus on the offense and ignore that we have the worse pass defense in the league again smacks of having an agenda rather than evaluating the team objectively.  Why are we not getting rid of McDermott. His unit is much worse this year.( Not that I agree with that either. )

But in any event the season is almost over and we will soon be preparing for next year.

Have a merry Christmas and enjoy the holidays.

I don't know what game folks were watching if they didn't see incredibly poor execution by Cam and the receivers. There are few play calls which make up for drops, miscommunication and inaccurate passing. Newton had time today.

Cam is and has been part of the problem with this team........you just can't tell the nuthuggers that.   I honestly think we have seen the best of Cam. Can it get better ? Possibly, but not until the staff demands better from him and we all know that won't happen with the current staff.

He can get better especially with his footwork but the Front office needs to surround him with better talent.

    • I tend to look at all of these guys and wonder how committed they are to doing special teams? It's a big deal when you're fighting for roster spots. And we need massive refreshes to all phases of the special teams game. And the idea that four or five of these players could see rotational use outside of special teams would be a win. This team has accumulated quite a bit of dead wood over the last five years and its time to take an axe to some of it. These new fellows have a shot to benefit from that if they can really push. That being said, wow that receivers room is crowded right now. I'm not sure if I was a vet player with more than 2 years experience other than Adam Thielen if I'd be too sure of my future here. Tet is guaranteed a spot, Coker earned his for sure and they aren't done with XL developing yet. That's only two to three spots left for the entire room. It's going to be very competitive and better for Bryce's future, too. Safety and linebacker are the opportunity spots here this season. There's room for the right guy and we may see a starter eventually from one of these UDFAs, either by merit or injury.
    • Aho and Jarvis just gripping it too tight right now. Relax, play their 200 ft game and the shots will start to find the net. Freddie has been excellent and welcome back Mista Svechnikov. Burns.....well, thank goodness for Slavin.
    • Supposedly he plans on staying in college for all 4 years.
