Is nobody else thinking "why are they trying to trade Lamb so bad"??

WOW!!

I don't get it.. He should actually be starting getting some development attention from the coaching staff.. Don't trade him give him more minutes and a little leway with mistakes..

Other than Kemba he is the only player on the team with star quality and traits..

Everybody else on this squad are role players who are getting overpaid..

Kemba and Lamb are actually getting underpaid and Lamb is under used..

I'm really starting to hate Cillford dumbass coaching decision and Cho as a GM completely..

Clifford's the same guy that basically shunned and ousted Biyombo because aside from excelling at everything we desperately need at Center he couldnt develop a back to the basket repertoire. Now Biyombo has his place in playoff history for having the most rebounds in a single playoff game and basically willed that Raptors team to 7 games.

But hey, at least (by his own admission) the team is moreorless built as he has requested now.

And I agree, Lamb has consistently outperformed Belinelli by all facets of gameplay sans 3pt % yet receives significantly less gameplay. I guarantee Lamb would have more suitors if we at least gave him more burn.

If anything, I wish we had Brogdon who's a ROTY candidate.

If you look at the efficent per minutes played he is killing Batum..

Batum or MKG should be on the bench.. And  Lamb should be starting..

Honestly Rico I'm done blaming players. Clifford is starting to piss me off..

MkG will never be good at offense because you only run spot jumpers and iso plays from 1 side of the court for him and not many at that... No post ups.. no iso from the top..

Lamb and MKG need 1 season where they can play without fearing being bench or not used for mistakes and you run some offense thru them..

Then you can see what you have..

Bc the coaches can't find a way to play him correctly. They're doing Lamb a favor: we suck at coaching so we're letting you go.

MKG needs 1 season to play without fearing he'd be bench? The fool was the no.2 pick. He's going into every season knowing they won't bench his ass. He just got paid for being such a high pick.

Clifford has some good qualities but developing players and quality rotations are not among them. I don't know if benching MKG and starting lamb is the answer but Lamb needs more playing time. Is there any chance MKG could defend NBA 4s on a nightly basis?

If so you could have potential starting lineup of
Kemba
Lamb
Batum
MKG
Zeller

Offensively it makes us better I think. Defensively I'm not sure, probably slightly worse.

It's funny you mention that line up. It is the line up we had on the floor against the Raptors when we dominated them in the 3rd quarter. Only difference was Frank was in for Cody since he's injured. Cliff then subbed in Marco for Nic and towards the end of the third took lamb out and gave Graham like 4 minutes for some fuging reason. Then in the forth he went back to Marvin, Nic and Marco. They proceeded to brick everything they put up and we went on to blow a 17 point lead and lose the fuging game.

I've said it numerous times that Clifford has lost us a ton of games because of his shitty rotations and his love of veteran players. There is no reason with the injures to our bigs and Marvin's struggles that Wood hasn't seen any minutes. Mike Tobey got more burn then him on a 10 day contract FFS.

I know many of you blame Cho and what not but this roster has talent and proved it for half of this season and last year. (Injures suck but they give you a chance to see what you have in your young guys but Clifford doesn't give them a chance) Clifford is the main issue imo. He's too fuging stubborn a la Ron Rivera and the main reason this team loses so many close games. When Marvin is shooting 20% you can't afford to play him 35 to 40 minutes a game unless you are trying to lose. Hey maybe we are tanking.

It's time for the Cho experiment to end.  I also think Clifford may need to move on if we get a new GM as well.   Clifford to me is a John Fox type coach, a decent coach for middle of the road goals but not someone to take you to the top.    There may not be anyone available better at the time but I'm not sure he's the best for us long term.

I'm still bad that we let Biz go when we could have at least kept him for cheap last year, I think with him we could have beat Miami last year.    The team needs a defensive presence and welp, we let him walk away.

Cho should've been let go before the season. MJ is a stupid owner who loves mediocrity Bc he cares to much about selling tickets.

The fans will packed the damn arena if his damn ass put qualities on the court! He's def not a business man you can tell.

MJ needs to hire the designer of his sneaker as GM.

There were 2 senarios.. The fear of benching was Lambs part.. Mkg fear is he starts missing shots and is never used in the offense the rest of the game...

    • In your opinion. What do you think Moton's true value in contract, dollars and guarantees? If we had not extended him, what is your plan for RT in 27 and 28? How important are good offensive linemen for our current offense? How much value do you put on protecting Bryce at this stage of his career? How difficult in general do you think finding above average tackles in the NFL is?
    • The Falcons have 2 significant offensive line injuries to start the 2025 season. Right tackle Kaleb Mcgary (who is the blindside protector for Penix since he is left-handed) is going to miss significant time, and it's looking more like it may be all season. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/falcons-expect-kaleb-mcgary-to-miss-significant-time https://x.com/BKsquared7/status/1959285822236107013. Also, the top backup and swing tackle, Storm Norton (cool name BTW) is having ankle surgery and may miss half the season. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/falcons-ot-storm-norton-out-6-8-weeks-after-ankle-surgery I don't root for injuries, but its also hard to be too sympathetic given how badly injuries have hit us in recent years. We definitely need to get that W in week 3 for our home opener at BOA. Despite our collective frustration at not being able to attend TC and then having boring preseason games, ultimately the most important objective of the preseason is to enter Week1 healthy, and we have at least done that. Hopefully the depth we think we have at Oline either shines through or isn't needed. Many other teams are in a bad spot with their offensive lines before the season even starts. For once, we aren't in that situation.
    • That roster was billed as a super smart and strong unit for a young QB….until he sucked though.   it didn’t have superstars but it had proven vets that checked well all the safe boxes and it was universally agreed the Panthers were putting him into position to succeed. BY just doesn’t fit a traditional O because he isn’t built like a traditional QB.  And he still doesn’t.   CJ Stroud would have had more success here than Bryce with that cast.   CJ just has the tools that fit the NFL more easily.  Young can find success but I have always argued it would take a Bryce centric plan (which we have never attempted IMO)
