Lord, Dalvin can scratch his knee without bending.. longest arms in the group.

It wouldn't be shocking if Perine puts up some really good numbers on the bench. He has the right build to do it. Barrel chested guys with shorter arms tend to do best on the bench. It's why I think it's a bit overrated, especially for edge guys - OTs, DEs, etc.. Those long armed guys that you want on the edge are at a natural disadvantage on the bench. It's just a matter of physics. They have to move that weight a lot further than a barrel chested short armed guy.

It's not a coincidence that Larry Allen was a legendary bench presser. Yes, the guy was insanely strong, but he also had the ideal build for that particular lift.

Perine does too.

I like what im hearing about this guy though.

"I love Perine. Great kid, hard worker, reliable. He's a team-first player who will fit into a committee approach or can handle all the work. He will be a solid pro back." - AFC National scout

Main RBs that I would wanna see us draft are Fournette even tho I'd take Adams if they both are on the board, Jamaal Williams or James Conner

I am intrigued by the Jamaal Williams from Utah state and also Brian Hill from Wyoming. don't think Jamaal was invited to combine.  Both good size running back you can get in 5-7th rounds.

If we don't get the first wave of running backs (Fournette, Cook, McCafferey)

I like Perine, Gallman, and Jamaal Williams.

Honestly I don't think I've ever heard anyone say a bad word about the guy. Seems like a great guy and he was a helluva RB at OU. I don't think anyone questions his character, his heart, or his ability to run the ball with power. Speed and agility drills are going to be important for him. He could really help himself and potentially change some minds with some good performances in those areas.

Other notable guys:

Bucknell OT Julie'n Davenport: 6'7" 318 with 36.5" arms and 10.5" hands. I've been very outspoken about my disdain for small school OL, but if you were to ask an OL coach to sit down with a blank sheet of paper and draw up the ideal LT, that right there is what he'd draw up.

FSU OT Roderick Johnson: 6'7" 298 with 36" arms and 10 3/4" arms. Very good frame here, but NFL teams are likely going to want to see him add at least 10-15 pounds.

UCLA OT Conor McDermott: 6'8" 307 with 34.75" arms and 11" hands. Another guy the NFL will likely want to see add a few pounds to his frame.

UNC RB Elijah Hood: 6'0" 232 with 9 3/8" hands. I think this guy is going to open some eyes at this thing.

South Florida RB Marlon Mack: 5'11" 213 with 9" hands

That arm length is really going to hurt Garcia. Some teams may rule him out as an OT prospect based on that factor alone.

He will be a G in a zone blocking scheme

Of course if his arms keep growing every time he is measured, who knows

Still like Davenport late third or early fourth

1st   Fornette  RB

2nd  Hasaan Reddik  OLB

3rd  Ethan Pocic  C

3rd  Davenport OT

If we draft an OLB at #40, I might break something. Especially a guy who is basically an undersized 3-4 OLB.

I really think we draft a DE before the end of the 3rd.

Yep, I don't like that draft at all past pick 1. If you watched the Senior Bowl you know Davenport is at least 1 year away from not killing Cam. DE from Kansas State destroyed him. I thought all OTs looked bad aside from a couple plays. McDermott got blown by multiple times, like Remmers bad times 10. Unless he's an UDFA I don't want him near our team.

Yeah, I was really disappointed by McDermott that week. I'd seen some of his games and he'd looked pretty damn good. Not that week.

As for Davenport, anytime you draft a small school OL, it's probably best to plan on essentially giving him a redshirt year. That's a BIG step up in competition, especially in the trenches.
